  • I have been with Avro a few years now. No problem with meter readings yet! No exit fees. Just switched to their Simple and Supersave by email request. My renewal was immediate and got new contract in days. DD down from £92 to £84 which is a result! But you have to be vigilant - not easy with so many different tariffs coming and going!

    I recently returned to Avro (early July) and I’ve only just noticed that I’m already £288 in credit!... i.e. 3 x D/D payments of £96 each;....I’ll shortly be £384 in credit no doubt because my next D/D of £96 is due to be paid on 1st Oct.

    Avro haven’t prepared a single bill/statement as yet, hence the large amount of credit,...this despite me entering accurate and timely meter readings online from the get go.

    Almost 3 months and still not had my 1st bill;...is that normal practice for new customers?;...I may have had this ‘issue’ with previous energy companies and never noticed, tbh. :doh:

    I switched to Avro for both leccy and gas on 18th Sept. Both distributor websites are listing Avro as my supplier but myAvro website will not allow me to enter meter reads and the estimated annual cost is showing only the gas costs - has this been others experience?

    I seem to recall that there was a slight delay in setting things up, but everything soon went smoothly. The minimalist website worked well and I had no complaints. Best of all there were no exit fees and I switched several times when Avro brought out new tariffs that were cheaper: I just phoned them and the switch went through in a day or two.

    I'd happily go back to them, I only switched to Yorkshire Energy because I'm a cheapskate ! No problems with YE either.

    I’ve had no trouble entering meter readings online since I moved back to Avro;...I entered my initial readings for both gas/leccy on switch-over day in early July;...still not had my 1st bill though.

    In my online ‘Statements’ section it just says “Based on our estimate we think your energy bills this year will be £1200”....there is no breakdown of the separate gas and leccy costs.
  • I had reason to send Avro’s support-desk an email last year;...the automated reply stated “We aim to respond to your query within 3 working days”.

    An email this morning regarding my ‘billing’ issue elicited this automated reply...”We aim to respond to your query within 7 working days”

    3 working days has stretched to 7 working days;...Avro’s support-team (or should that be ‘support person’) is clearly under pressure. :D

    Yes - my account doesn't break it down but "Based on our estimate we think your energy bills this year will be £549.15" equates almost exactly to the amount I've calculated for my gas bill.:)
  • I sent an email yesterday morning bemoaning the fact that I hadn’t received a bill/statement since I joined Avro at the start of July.

    This morning I received a reply from their support-desk (or person!);...there was a problem with their automatic billing system that they’ve now rectified.

    Lo and behold my 1st statement is now available online!

    Less than 24hrs to sort my problem,...well done Avro support;...10/10. :T
