Do you work for these clowns?

Why? Do you work for the competitor clowns?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

    Just wondered that is all.

No online presence for this either so no spare parts or reviews :(

If they offered a standard model that you would likely get parts for in a few years i'd jump at the chance.

Looks suspiciously similar to another Whirlpool model, the AZB 8570
with Hotpoint branding applied and changed to the control panel. If it hasn't otherwise been modified for cheapness, then as the azb8570 is sold in the UK, parts could presumably become more readily available. Although I doubt Currys sell many at that price as the larger and smaller model are significantly cheaper.

Why make such a brash comment?

Most of the regular contributors to this thread offer legitimate and real world advice, it's not that they work for Hotpoint or even want to defend Hotpoint it's simply that they know how things work and if you ask me if you come on here with unreasonable expectations then you're far better off being shot down on a public forum rather than in "real life" embarrassing yourself.

It would appear like your comment is aimed at wealdroam, and I'm not entirely sure why as what he/she has stated regarding DebMrsMac's post is 100% correct. I'd very much like to see what happens when DebMrsMac reports Hotpoint to (I assume) the police for "theft" - I suspect the words "wasting police time" will likely be thrown around once or twice.

This thread is a cesspit of people baying for blood who just seem to want to rant and rave rather than listen to rounded advice - the more posts I read on here the sorrier I feel for Hotpoint customer services!

I can fully understand why a lot of new posters would think people on here work for Whirlpool. Many regular posters on here always defend the company.

I can also fully understand why people are angry at the service they are getting from Whirlpool. I will remind people again that Hotpoint churned these potentially dangerous machine out for 11 years. I find it extremely hard to have any sympathy for the company, the individuals on the phone yes, but that's the job they took on.

People disagree with you, therefore it's hyperbole time?

Nobody makes you post your 'rounded advice', and as for 'want to defend Hotpoint' - you've done a better job than their own PR department.
  • Some folks have said that this model is not listed and maybe parts are not available, the CORRECT MODEL CODE FOR THIS MACHINE IS TDWSF 83B EP , spares parts are available.

They are no longer offering that model the new one is TDWSF83BEZ which as someone mentioned looks like a rebranded AZB 8570 making life a little easier if you need spares in a few years. The older model offered didn't have a UK equivalent from what I could see.

(Text removed by MSE Forum Team) Reason: Personal abuse
    Oh for pity sake, seriously?

I'm starting to think 'MSE ForumTeam3' has taken a personal dislike to me given their edits on the shoplifting thread.

My comments where nothing more than observation and my own opinions - I have no idea how they could have been considered "personal abuse" they where not aimed at (or quoting) any single individual on this thread.

P.S. Your moderation skills are clearly starting to fall short as two posters have quoted the text you consider to be so offensive and thus it's still there for all to see - or perhaps it's only erasing certain posters history you are happy to do thus allowing them to backtrack on arguments and come off looking innocent (those following the shoplifting thread the other day will know what I'm talking about).
