If they modified them first they would have marked them in some way, there's talk of a green sticker.0 -

It won't happen.
Zandoni knowingly posts lots of misinformation!0 -
RainbowBlue wrote: »And you think it is acceptable to sell modified machines that were once a fire risk and still could be even after being modified?
Personally they should all be scrapped and production started again from scratch!
Absolutely I find it acceptable.
If the machine is fixed, then its fixed. Why would they scrap something when they can carry out a simple modification.0 -
RainbowBlue wrote: »My guess is, you wouldn't say that if your modified dryer caught fire like some reported ones!
I'd say exactly the same. All electrical appliances have a risk of fire.0 -

If he dies in a fire, I'd be very surprised if he said anything at all.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

How many have died in a fire so far in the past 11 years due to this situation?0 -

Oh for pity sake - there's been some downright stupid suggestions posted here but this one takes the biscuit!
Let's scrap 5 million otherwise working machines, then design and produce 5 million more and hand them back to our customers - not only would this take years, it would put them out of business.
I've got no issue with people expressing their opinion as long as it's sort of plausible - yours is probably the most downright stupid on the entire thread.0 -

You conveniently failed to mention that either you need to ventilate your house well - and in the process waste energy - or it will get damp. I didn't say that a dryer was anything other than a luxury.
Do you ventilate your house well?
I can only apologise for pointing out the scientific research linking dampness and asthma. Still, don't let facts get in your way.
Where have you pointed out any scientific research?0 -

According to this site a spokeperson said this
"If the customer's machine is under warranty they can wait for the repair or have an exchange for free, if the machine is out of warranty then the customer can have a repair for free or pay a charge for an exchange."0
