My other friend got the Whirlpool one, with the back glass door at the beginning of January. .....
Interesting that must be a different one to what they are offering me it has a plain round solid door and Hotpoint name on it.

I am getting a Hotpoint TCM580BP delivered today, it's almost the same as my Indesit but is actually more efficient.
I contacted Hotpoint Support via twitter and they offered the replacement without the offer of a repair.
They can take 24 hours to reply, and they will ask you for your model/serial/date of purchase again so be patient.
  • Hi, who did you talk to.

The model they are offering now is a vented one for 59 (original 219).

Wanted to speak to someone about getting a condensing one as a vented is no use to us. But all I got was keep checking the website for any change in model.

Wouldn't entertain any discussion about what they could do to help

Just to follow this one up, have kept checking and today found the Hotpoint TDWSF83BEP is back on offer at £99, so have taken advantage

Where are you checking and offer changing?
That's the one they offered me but its deeper as it is 8kg and mine is 7kg.

Via Twitter @HotpointSupport I did it very early this morning and they have just responded via a personal message asking for my contact details and details of my dryer to enable further action.

I phoned them earlier to say the replacement model was too deep and was there an alternative I could buy, was just told no & that I'd have to wait for the modification & then the bloke hung up on me!

    Not impressed
All my savings are going on the family holiday!

Off to Majorca again this year ;-)

Why are people so desperate with getting a new machine, your current machine has been doing the job you bought it for . The modification is needed to make the machine safer not to make it more efficient...
