I've had look around no other provider offers all that. TPO are closest 5p calls 3p texts free to other TPO but they are 3g only. Not sure their customer service is much better.
EDITED: Above was based on mobilenetworkcomparison.org, but it looks like TPO have changed their rates to 12p/min 5p/text 15p/MB, although they are currently offering discount rates of 4p/min 4p/text 2p/MB. Free calls/texts are limited (100mins 250text per month) and subject to top up.
So really the Delight offer, despite all the reservations, is still a good one. Add to that 4p/min calls to Ireland mobiles (many of my Irish relatives have no landline) - yet to find anyone who can beat that. The minimum you can get away with spending is about £15 per year (top up £5 every four months and buy a 99p bundle just before the 90 day expiry of each £5 credit).0 -
I havefilled in OFCOM's 'monitoring' form https://ofcomforms.secure.force.com/formentry/SitesFormCCTMonitoring
They don't handle individual cases but I think the more people that flag up what Delight have sneakily done, the better.0 -
I have around £7 left on a delight sim, if that disappears then the sim can follow into the nearest bin. Fortunately it was only ever a backup number so can go0

Good thing about delight, 1, free calls and texts 2 other delight mobiles,no top up required.2,3p a min,2p atext and1p per megabite. 3, works on 2g phones, 4,transfer credit between delight numbers. Ideal, if family on delight to, as mine are. 5, itemised call history on website. 6, £5 top ups. Bad things, 1, credit expires after 90 days. Think il stick with um 4 the time being
Three on PAYG offer 3p calls, 2p texts &1p mb data. Free 150mb data with each top up.
£5 top ups can be done after the first £10 top up.
Doesn't work on 2g though.
3g phones support Messenger & What's App so free messaging via that route when on wifi.
I don't think that's too expensive for light users.0 -

3 are excellent and I have them as my main number on a dual SIM phone. Other SIM (can connect 2g only) is Delight.
3 charges £5 per month for 3000 three to three minutes. On Delight, it's free. So for four family members Three would be £20 per month more expensive if we wanted that, plus we would have to pay for texts between us, again free on Delight without needing any App or Wi-fi. Final thing, for Ireland mobile Delight is 4p/min vs 3 14p/min.
So agree, Three is not too expensive for light users who have a 3G phone, but for those light users who also want free calls and texts between other family members, Delight works out substantially better.0 -
I can also confirm that if you transfer credit between sims it extends the validity for a further 90 days but IMO its just not worth the hassle & as soon as you go beneath £5 you cannot transfer & will lose the remaining credit
Like others I topped up before the change in the terms & conditions which happened after April 20th but have still lost the credit after 90 days & was never even informed of the change in the T&C
If you just need a 2G SIM for a basic non-smartphone emergency phone for just cheap calls that doest steal your credit then IMO the best one is Talkmobile Happy Hour (calls cost just a flat rate 10p for up to the first hour so any call more than 10 minutes is cheaper than delight or three 321) - I can also live with a call to a relative now costing me 10p rather than being free via delight to delight (but it wasnt actually free as they stole my credit)
finally if the top up was less than 120 days ago then you can do credit card chargeback0 -
Purchased a 99p bundle (33mins/33 SMS/33MB) to use up last bit of credit before losing it
But Delight-to-Delight texts are being deducted from the bundle! I have made 6 texts, all delight to delight and have 27 SMS left. Outside the bundle they are free so shouldn't be deducted from the bundle. It even says "unlimited delight-to-delight texts" with any bundle.
With any other company you could query but we know Customer Service is non existent.0 -

Yes I'm tempted by that. I've stopped paying for free evening calls with BT as they only cover landlines, this would be a good alternative for calling relatives (landline or mobiles) in the evening.0 -
I am actually talking to a delight customer services representative at the moment :j and he is telling me that the ts&cs have not changed. Ever! I gave him the link to the web.archive and he then told me he is going to escalate my query to someone else who will look into in and get back to me. I wont hold my breath. They are lying through their teeth.
Also, the Ts&Cs have changed again. I have just snapshotted it to web.archive.
What's even more amazing it that I emailed support@delightmobile.co.uk with some details, and I got a reply, with a ticket number!!!
