Just been reading your fab diary and I'm so full of admiration for all you are doing and with such good humour in a not at all easy situation. You are sooo harsh on yourself sometimes so I am pleased you are so well supported by your regular contributors here. I'm genuinely full of admiration and will be joining in the cheering on from the side lines. Go you!:T:T:T
Keep up the go work, wishing you tons of luck and good news. Delighted for you with your recent triumphs!

Hello!
I don't think I'm too hard on myself - you should see how much chocolate I eat. But thank you. I'll take it on boardI won't lie this is a really hard time for me. It's the weirdest thing it's like half of me is missing. All the time. My mil agrees that I'm not the same person without him. Just wish we got to talk more. Every one says how it's easier than the old days as we have Skype now. If it worked maybe it would be. 5 weeks 6 days to go and it's dragging like a mo fo. My eldest is struggling too.
Well here to report I've been naughty, found all my bargains and bought the girls birthday presents. Pretty mental as they aren't until July and August. But I like to watch what I'm buying then when a special offer happens jump on it. Asda are doing £10 off £50 on toys. Such lovely wooden toys. Dd2 is getting the wooden pram and dd1 is getting a shop! It's terrible mse behaviour but my kids aren't responsible for my debts and it's important birthdays 1 & 3. Really excited! Hopefully they'll be impressed.
Tesco refund is in and I'm back to 0%
Still no sign of hubbys p60 so I'm in the overdraft but less than my tax credits amount so on balance ok but not ideal.
Just trundling along trying not to spend money. Itching to sell again but there isn't anything. This way is certainly harder. But still doing well. Hubby is going to be very impressed. Hopefully will keep him on the budget when he returns.
Must try to get back to sleep dd2has gone silent. I won't dare check again! So hard not to though.
Lots of love to everyone xxxxxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

You are doing really well, I don't post much but I do read, and think you handle everything so well. Our littlies are not far from being the same age and it's hard keeping up with everything, especially when you are on your own!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Brizzledfw and jwil thank you
But jwil you got one of each so I'm sure you have a better idea of what to buy themso exciting to plan but once it's opened just looks like a load more flashy plastic.
Thank you for understanding brizzle it just seems impossible to explain. When I told her I was going to work she totally panicked I was going to disappear too. I don't blame her. Even this last bit feels like forever. But it's not. There is an end in sight. And hopefully next 2 years he should be home most weekends. IF we get the promotion that is.
Hope youre all doing well.
Not spending money is so hard. But got hubbys p60 so should be able to sort that out Wednesday. Hubby earned way more last year though so could end up having to pay it all back. Uh-oh! XxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Kitten, as I'm sure you know, I do what you do, and grab bargains presents for the children. We've actually got them lots, but not spent that much money!!!!
DS is obsessed with Superman at the moment and he has dressing up today at school this week. I thought I was going to have to pay out for a costume, but my sister offered to buy it for him, as she hasn't gotten around to getting his birthday present, which was last month.0 -
I know chanie as presents is my only fun spending I go way overboard. Stalking the toys I want for weeks to get the best price. No one else gets it when I make these 'impulse' purchases. I haven't, I've been stalking my prey for months and finally got the right price. Are you on Facebook? If you are join bargainbuysforbusymums it's absolutely amazing. Finds all the price glitches and sales and tells you when 25% off Sainsburys clothing will be.
Today has been mainly colouring in peppa pig. For a change. And desperately trying not to spend money. It's so boring though - not going shopping. Lunch break is pretty dull. Thank goodness for this and my baby forum for keeping me occupied.
4 weeks 6 days til hubby comes home. And 4 weeks til dd2s birthday.
So the countdown is on now. Got one more payday before we go for the decision in principle. Started this diary to do the countdown and it feels weird that we are nearly there and there's not much I can do to change things now. Plan is throw all of June pay at credit cards to get them down. And then all July pay to savings for the solicitors. I think that works best. I can't see it going too fast so I am planning on August pay going to the solicitor too. So we should have enough.
Off to do some surveys to improve things a bit. XLoan 1 £5200/£8000

You have so much to look forward too, kitten and you can tell by your posts that you are in a happy place.
This is for the facebook group tip. I'll definitely check it out, although I think it could be dangerous as I'm a sucker for a bargain.0 -
Well done kitten. All seems pretty positive which is ace.

Oh thank you
I am forcing the positive me to the surface on a more consistent basis. I don't feel right when I'm not happy.
Oh ps I love you is on.
Well contacted benefits people through online messaging. They said I have to wait for my renewals pack. Seeing as I'll probably have to pay everything back I can wait.
Found the most perfect bungalow. Even my mum said we should make an offer. Lol in true me style it's a mess inside and needs ripping apart. But it's so pretty. Just have to hope it gets no interest so when I come trip tropping along in a month's time I can get it. XLoan 1 £5200/£8000
