Daring Myself to do this

Do you need to be potty trained to go to nursery? Check with the nursery. I am pretty sure not all of them actually say they 'have' to be
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

I've still not cancelled my contract in phone...really annoyed with myself and need to do today. Sounds like you've got a great deal!
That's hilarious about tesco email..pls tell me you put a kiss at the end too!!!
I'm annoyed with tesco credit card too funnily enough. I went to pay for a holiday so hubby could transfer the money straight away then we would have payment protection and club card points but it declined it! I have 0 balance yet they seem to have cancelled my card and not told me. Does me a favour really as I needed to call and cancel but I'm annoyed as to why they've done it?!?!
You sound more perky at the mo....better than last few posts
Oh and both my eldest two were potty trained at their nursery. Think a pre school may be different (though you'd have to ask) but any that take babies and toddlers would usually help potty train0 -
Thank you both
my mum said the same thing. I'll have to ask them.
The tesco saga goes on. Today there's been a payment to clear my balance then an 'adjustment' where it's gone back on and a £16 charge for doing so?! What is going on? I hope I get a letter soon to explain all of this! I'm hoping it's because they've put it on interest free. Does seem a bit nuts though. You'd think they'd have put compensation on first though and that hasn't happened so I don't think it's likely. So once I've got a letter I'm complaining again.
I swear actually paying off credit cards really confuses credit card companies and credit score agencies. I don't think we are supposed to realise we can do it.
Been feeling really good about the fact I only have one credit card. And I can get it down to nothing this year. I know that sounds awful as I owe my mum but there it is. And my mum knows come summer she's going to get paid off in chunks as a priority. Working it out though despite the fact I've paid so much off credit cards I think I've only actually paid off and got rid of £4k. Not very much in 10 monthsbut that's because I kept using the credit cards.
Hubby is pleased with the progress I've made on his too. I didn't think it was much but when you add it up it is. So that's good.
Just have to hope tesco pull their finger out soon as I'm planning to pay them off this month. Don't want that account in credit as he's not here to get it back. Ho hum. It'll sort itself out.
Sort of feel a bit better now it's only 2 months and 1 week to go til hubby comes home.
When he comes home I'll ring the mortgage people and see if the car has totally scuppered us or if we have something to work with. Then it's polyfilla central so we can put this place on the market. I don't know though if we'd be better off waiting until we see something viable though. Be awkward if we sold this place and had to move back in with parents for a bit. Great for us money-wise but I know my mum would not go for it.
I'm so excited for it to happen but so scared that it can't happen. But given hubby will be in the forces for the next 5 years I can't be stuck like this.
Plus him being off for 5 weeks means he can get involvedx

Just think if you hadn't got rid of the 4K it would either still be there and potentially more if you continued using the cards...cutting up and closing down is the way to go :TStarting debt £18,675.63

Companies aren't going to offer compensation unless you ask for it. I got some compensation from IKEA once. I cancelled an order but it took them weeks to give me a refund, despite me calling them daily. They gave me £150.0

You're totally right reality check... £4k down instead of £4k up. Definitely a win
That's how it would have gone.

Hope you get some sense out of Tesco soon, and well done on halving your mobile bill! That's huge achievement give you had such limited options.
Regarding DD2 and sleeping. Every child is different, of course, and I wasn't very good getting DS1 to go to sleep as OH and I both worked full time and I confess to keeping him up later than I should have so that I got to spend more time with him. Given he is now a teenager and still a night owl, I cannot say whether that was nature or nurture but he doesn't seem to have come to much harm.
But I was determined not to do the same thing with DS2 and was given a book by Tracey Hogg called The Baby Whisperer and it really helped. She recommends a routine for you and baby for the whole day that I couldn't get on with BUT I did use her recommendations for sleeping and it worked for me, and several other friends and family too.
Sadly the lady passed away but the book is still in circulation and widely available on Amazon, eBay and in the library. And there is a forum http://www.babywhispererforums.com/ that has lots of support.
The routine is based on observing your child's behaviour as they get ready to go to sleep and acting on the cues that they give you, and then helping them feel all warm and safe in their bed. It takes a while, and it may not work for you but it is quite a calm process.
I realise that you might not want to keep chopping and changing processes but wanted to share - DS2 is 12 now and still very happy about pottering off to bed when he is tired.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Thanks jj. I live a very routined structured life for my girls. I think it's just as you say - children are different. You don't plan for children to be different - you've done one and you think you know what to expect. Dd1 we did cosleeping til 14 months. She was breastfed til 15 months but took a bottle from early on. I put her in her cot and she slept through. Dd2 is miss hyperactive. I'm just rubbish at hearing my children cry. I will have a look though
I've had a radical and perhaps stupid or perhaps genius idea. Overpaying the car finance! If I overpay it by £3000 then my monthly cost to pay them is £80 so I can still get my mortgage. Yes I will have to put £3000 on a credit card BUT it's already a debt counting against us and moving it puts us in a way better position for affordability. I've been tossing it round in my mind and doing my sums and I've asked Volkswagen and it all works. Only trouble is hubby needs to request the money transfer as tesco banking is awful.
Talking of tesco. As it turns out charging me £16 was their resolution apparently! Total logical sense of course. Have a nagging worry this might have to wait for hubby to come home :-/ !!!!!!s. In case you're wondering why stick with them we can't apply for new credit with the mortgage app looming. It is what it is.
So it feels like taking on more debt but it isn't and actually frees up £140 to repay what we want a month rather than the car. It seems so simple it must be wrong.

Hope the Tesco thing sticks - I'm not sure I was following it correctly but if it saves you money then it has got to be a good thing.
A final thing that I realise I didn't say was that there is no crying in The Baby Whisperer sleep method. Its definitely worth a try.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300
