As well as Vodafone I was looking at plus net they had a offer on at £5 for 6 month then goes up to £14.99 plus line rental so noticed the offer was ending soon so thought I would take a chance and wait and see what the next offer was now there doing the same package for £5.00 a month for 18 months plus line rental so think that is a cracking price for fibre so going to sign up later on.0

£5 for 6 months then £19.99 + £17.99 line rental. for 76MB
£5 for 18 month = 38MB only + £17.99 line rentalCensorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Today switched to Plusnet from Vodafone after shortest ever period with ISP - 2 weeks.
Totally unprofessional company. Their system is totally not ready to provide broadband services. Still don't know what is my account number as was never able to access "My Vodafone" because no one at vodafone was smart enough to realise the landline and broadband is "slightly" different from mobile network and receiving passwords to landline is not as easy.
They won't let you use own router, their router will be delivered too late or lost in transit.
Every call to customer services will start with 40-60 minutes wait time. And all you get is useless information - different with every call.0 -

I went for the £5 deal thought it was good but was going to sign up for the £5 for 6 months but waited so think the broadband gods were looking down on me lol
Been switched over on the 3rd so fingers crossed all goes well lol 😂0 -
Don't forget that Plusnet's line rental reduces to £15.49 and is fixed for 12 months, if you use the line rental saver.0

Originally our postcode wasn't covered but it now is and at £25pcm they're about the cheapest on offer right now.
I haven't yet found any information if they do shaping and/or "fair use" - I have been put off SSE due to all the problems reported on this site so I don't want a flaky service to save £2/month!
Only thing is they list a one-off connection fee which I'm not too happy about.
Current deal is £25 but my wife is with Vodafone so I might be able to get a better deal... they don't seem to come up on uSwitch/TopCashback.
Any feedback on service, speed, deals, etc...?0 -
Terms and conditions are on the website. They do have a download limit. 300GB rings a bell?
£25 is the 38MB deal? So that may have a lower limit? £28 for the 76MB deal if you can get that speed.
I left Plusnet and my speed has dropped and i get the occasional corrupt file which has improved but still not perfect.
Pings also much higher which maybe an issue for gamers.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Doesn't sound that appealing. This thread started off quite positive then went off a cliff the last few posts!0

Seems their 2 pipes into the exchange which they said will increase my speed appears to be a wrong at present.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Have been a VF mobile customer for a long while and had so many problems and suffered through their lack of customer service. Their BB service has been surprisingly good.
Signed up a couple of weeks before moving into a new flat. Connected the day I moved in but at a very slow speed (7mb) then the line went dead. Called VF and it was due to Open Reach needing to put more pipes into the exchange which was resolved 4 days later. Customer service was really friendly and a nice touch was they gave me unlimited data to tether with on my mobile as a work around.
Speed is really good. Have done a fair few speed tests and getting near enough to full speed (76mb), only once has it clocked nearer to 40mb which was pretty late at night. Price is really competitive as well.0
