Anyone using Vodafone fibre broadband?

I have had the letter from sky about the changes to the phone service and see that included evening and weekend calls are now £4 a month.
Looking online, Vodafone offer broadband (fibre) for the same price as I am currently paying (£20) but their phone service is cheaper and includes evening and weekend calls.
Does anyone have any experience of switching to Vodafone and the service in general? I assume it uses the same backhaul so the only real difference will be the name on the bill.

Hi,
Did you sign up with Vodafone fiber eventually?
Thanks0 -
Yes, I have been using them for several months now. No problems at all with the switch over and the service since.0

Any problems connecting to peripherals? My powerline adapter doesn't work, Spotify keeps disconnecting and fire tv keeps disconnecting as well.
Otherwise the deals is fantastic0 -
Thanks for the quick reply by the way0

Hi all,
Not a regular poster here, or anywhere really, but have been seriously looking at Vodafone's new No Line Rental Fibre Broadband deals and wondered if anyone else has either got it or thinking of getting it.
Might even be one for "The Team" to look at.
As I can only get about 38mbps max with BT Infinity, changing over to Vodafone would save me the line rental plus about £4 per month.
Now that BT have increased the line rental AGAIN, it's a serious contender.
In comparison:
BT = £18.99 line rental + £26.00 broadband per month X 12 months = £539.88 per year.
Vodafone = No line rental + £22.00 per month X 12 months = £264.00 per year
A potential saving of £275.88 per year.
Other peoples opinions are very welcome please.0 -
Which BT broadband are you comparing that is £26?
Infinity 1 is £20 but you very rarely pay full price as BT always have offers on. For example now it is £12.50, plus a £100 pre-paid mastercard. That makes it roughly the same price as Vodafone. Plus any possible cashback will make it even cheaper. And you can look into advance line rental which will save even more.
I'm assuming you are an existing customer with Vodafone otherwise it is £25 a month for their broadband not £22. And an 18 month contract compared to BTs 12 month.
Lot of things to weigh up and it's important on any deal to look beyond the flashy headline grabbing points. I don't think it's that great a deal personally.0 -
I've got Infinity2 unlimited, mainly because of the download limits on Infinity 1, and wouldn't be entitled to any cashback through switching (I think) and you are quite right on me being a vodafone customer already.
I've already beaten BT over the head when I was out of contract last time, hence what I pay now.0 -
Vodafone isn't really abolishing line rental charges, it's simply combining the charge into its fibre pricing.
'This is because broadband providers are under pressure from government and Ofcom to change advertised pricing so customers see a cost per month that includes line rental, so Vodafone is stealing a march on its rivals.'
BT and other ISPs will be introducing broadband prices that include line rental shortly.0 -
