Anyone using Vodafone fibre broadband?

My Talktalk package is based on £17.70 line rental + £10 fibre + £0 calls package.
I would have thought £10 for just ADSL BB was quite expensive these days. Have you tried asking for a better deal - they seem quite amenable.0 -
Best option from vodafone is Unlimited Fibre 76.
£28/month.
Compared to BT Infinity 2 which cost me £53.24 (broadband+line rental + caller ID) difference is almost half price.
Vodafone ordered, installation in 2 weeks from now0 -

I already had sky fibre so it was a transfer. The sky line went dead overnight and the vodafone line was up and running by late afternoon.
When the sky fibre was installed the engineer came to the house first to split the master socket then went to the green cabinet to make the connection.
After the work had been done at the cabinet he came back, connected the equipment, did some checks then off he went.
I think most fibre connections are a now self install but my original sky one used the separate openreach modem which was delivered by the engineer.
Now the modem/router are combined into one unit that is sent to you by the ISP.
How do you find the Vodafone Fibre compared to the Sky fibre? Is there any difference in speed or it slowing down or any restrictions?0 -
All set to leave Vodafone with another number, they offered a great deal on a Galaxy S6 (thats another story).
Whilst onm the phone they mentioned the £28 all in 76MB fibre package. My Plusnet is approx £10 more. So i agreed and early hours last night the phone went off and came back on. Then the internet went off so i plugged the new router in and went to bed.
This morning i tried some speed tests and they were a bit slower than Plusnet, found a couple of sites that didnt work. Contacted live help and they said nothing was being blocked but a few minutes after the chat the sites started working. Several unrelated sites which are not on any blocked list.
Whilst checking the content control i spotted an extra number in my account setings. I went into the settings and it turned out to be my home phone number. Stupid.... Voda.... Lost my phone number and gave me a new one WHY???

Hi forgotmyname,
My apologies for any inconvenience caused by this situation.
We’ll try and retain your existing phone number when you transfer to us; however we can’t guarantee this and we may provide you with a new phone number. If we provide you with a phone line, and you don‘t ask us to transfer your existing number, we’ll allocate a new number to your phone line.
However, if you provided your existing line at the point of sale, please contact our Broadband and Home Phone Team directly on 08080 034 515. They'll be able to get this investigated fully for you.
Thanks,
Sarah

It should have been a straight transfer from plusnet to Voda. Fibre already installed and the number shoould have been switched with it.
At no point was a new number ever mentioned, if there was a slight risk of losing my number i would not have swapped provider.
Sorted now anyway, original number live and after i called to get the caller id activated people can now call me.
I thought it odd when i rang my original number and it would ring 3 times and cut me off. Caller blocker cutting me off because the caller id was off and it assumed a withheld/unknown number.
Do you check the mobiles board? going to pop a question in there.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I'm in pretty much the same position and have actually spent 30 minutes on the phone to Virgin just now. They offer me £38.00 per month which inc line rental, just for broadband but they have no intention at all of making it any lower.
Same as the original poster, i'm being swayed by Vodafone's very cheap £28.00 offer for 78mbps speed.
I've googled around a bit and the thing concerning me is the apparent lack of customer services and engineer services. There appeared to be a lot of negative comments about internet dropping out, losing it for a day or two and worryingly, the first connection in some cases, was not instant, some were waiting a week or two to be connected. Not.good.
That said, i'm sure all companies have issues, but that last bit worried me.
Are there any happy Vodafone Fibre Broadband customers out there that can help me/original poster and put minds at ease.
Many thanksZen are doing similar deal to Vodafone and seem to have good customer service

What happens if you let your contract end with BT? Do you then pay full price on a rolling contract?
Zen website says £30 for me plus line rental.
Just coming to end of standard broadband contract with BT.
To upgrade to fibre the options with BT are:
1. £26 12m
2. £12 18m special offer
3. £10 12m NEW customers
Very tempted by Vodafone offer.
Update: One of the reasons I'm thinking of staying with BT is to watch BT Sport on BT TV. As an existing customer I could only do this on the £26 per month package and not the £12 special offer.0
