Manual badges and automated badges already awarded can be removed.
Currently we don't have a system to stop people being awarded automated badges - you'll need to let us know if you've received one and don't want it.
Thanks
What would be really good is an option for individuals to switch badges and avatars off so none of them are displayed when logged in then there wouldn't be all the wasted space and it must improve, however slightly, forum load times without all that stuff there.0 -

I have lost count of the number of times I have let you know.
Please remove them.WWSD(what would Scooby Doo)0 -
So just what is this secret procedure to request badge removal? Many seem to have tried the obvious way of just posting a request here, with no luck. Maybe there's the on-line equivalent of a Mason's handshake that is required?

There is a secret emoji you need to send, only available on the katakana keyboard, and using a combination of 11 simultaneous keystrokes. Only the truly sanctimonious can achieve this.

Hi!
Here's how it works:- Anniversary and post count badges can't currently be removed permanently. If we do remove them one day, as they're automated, they'll return the next day. So if you've asked for those to be removed you'll need to be patient please - thanks!
- The other badges, which are manual, can be removed. However, most of you are asking for all badges to be removed so in essence removing a few won't solve the issue for you entirely.
We are planning a tool to remove them for those of you that don't like them but we'd be grateful if you can be patient please. It's unlikely to be available until next year.
Thanks!Could you do with a Money Makeover?

So what you told us on a previous occasion wasn't really the true situation? :think:MSE_Andrea wrote: »Manual badges and automated badges already awarded can be removed.
