Will a "tool" to remove them give people an option to turn them off so none of the badges anyone has are displayed in the same way the old look forum gave an option to turn avatars off (which last time I looked was not an option for the new look forum).

I hadn't tried it for a long while but just gave it a go again and it makes no difference on the new forum (still works with the old one)
