Hi everyone!
Today we’re launching a new automated version of Forum badges celebrating MoneySavers’ Forum milestones to go alongside our existing badges.
The badges we currently have are given out manually by MSE Badger (yes really ) whenever he spots a fab MoneySaving success, glitch, bargain and more posted on the Forum. When you get one you also receive a private message showing you how to save more cash and encouraging you to post to get more badges.
The new badges will be thrown out of MSE Badger’s sett automatically when you reach a set (pardon the pun!) Forum milestone. Again in future you’ll get a private message showing you how to save even more.
We're launching in stages over the next week. Over that time you'll start to see these two badges on your and other forum users' profiles:
This is an example of what they'll look:
A few eagle eyed Forumites spotted we’ve been testing the badges and some designs on a few Forum profiles. Thanks for your patience while we did this!

They seem to look a lot better now there's only one of them, and they look like the other badges.
But the gap between 1k posts and 10k posts is still too large.
I'd suggest a 5k badge as well.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Yes, and the gap after 10K is huge ...
Here's an idea ...
Why not put the exact number of posts inside the circle ...
It would be nice to have that info displayed.
...
Oh!

Just a note, the badge images are examples - those aren't the only ones, we're staggering the launch and it'll take a few days for all badges to filter through ... wait and seeCould you do with a Money Makeover?

I'd rather have cashback than a badge.
Can't you just write me a cheque for, say, £0.10 per post ?

oh for chrissakes - how old do the team think we are? Badges handed out by a friendly Badger should be for kindergarten only!
Grow up forum team - this idea stinks! I am quite capable of reading and understanding that I have made 21,338 posts but don't need a little badge to 'know' its more than 10k.
I preferred to know exactly how many posts were made - and I dread to think of what you are going to come up for 'Thanks' in the future!0
