    E.ON Credit Checks
    “ Hi

Can someone explain after inoputting my dtial for comapriosn the BG Collective Fix February 2017 comes up as 11th place! So it not the cheapest fix?

The cheapest that appear for me are:

1st place - Extra Energy (Fresh Fixed Price Feb 2017 v4) - why would i not switch to that?
2nd place E.ON - do they carry out a full credit check? There is contradictory information.

    thanks

    Hi jrsga

Each case is looked at individually but, where a customer refuses a credit check, it may restrict the payment terms we're able to offer. It could be we'll suggest a prepayment meter or ask for a security deposit. The deposit would be £200 for each fuel. This would be repayable after 12 months or at the end of the contract provided there's no debt and bills have been paid on time for the last 6 months. As I say, it depends on individual circumstances. In some cases, particularly where vulnerability is involved, we'll try to tailor our offer to suit the individual conditions.

Where customers agree to a credit check, we'll do a full external check using a Credit Reference Agency. There's more about this on our website.

    Hope this explains jrsga.

Oops, i was just helping a relative switch and realised in the account numbers box during the switch when I did mine I entered the meter numbers, not my customer account numbers, is that going to cause a problem can anyone at MSE advise?
  • thanks MSE, Scottish Power could come no where near to the BG deal. I switch regularly and STILL managed to save £150 per year. I now have my joint gas and electric down to £60 per month for a three bed 1930's semi detached. I don't recall a time since i have owned a house that it has been cheaper. happy bunny
Food and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 2016

    Hi there

The meter supply details are pretty critical in helping the switch go through smoothly. Assuming you entered the right MPAN / MPRN then this shouldn't cause a problem.

I'd suggest that you wait for the confirmation email / letter from your chosen supplier and then give it a call to check everything it set-up correctly. Alternatively if you haven't heard from it inside 10 days, you may wish to call to check. The special collective switch contact details are included at the link below.
