And another "important" updateUpdate for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3035583)Update installs Get Windows 10 app in Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 SP1
Installed it anyway, out of curiosity, and the annoying little "Get Windows 10" icon didn't come back.
What may explain it is that I did upgrade that machine to 10 and then rolled it back to 7. Only did it to get the machine registered for Windows 10 should I want to install it after the free upgrade window passes. Don't know if that will work or I'll want to get it, but only cost me a bit of time to do it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Well so far for me GWX control Panel is doing well. Everyday I get a message Windows 10 settings detected. Takes two seconds to stop it again. I pray once July 29 2016 comes we will no longer be pestered.0

Not really an issue as you should be checking what updates are happening before committing anyway.
If you're lazy that way, then disable "automatic updates" and use WSUSOffline update every month - it'll filter the W10 update0 -
Cannot answer your questions 1 or 2 but I have got MS Money Sunset running very successfully on my Windows 10.
I have read that people have had problems with MS Money so I was very nervous.
I did install it on a new laptop which I had just upgraded to Windows 10. It may be that if you upgrade an existing laptop from 7 to 10, it could be different as you will have lots of things which could perhaps conflict.
But, I can confirm that it does work on a clean, new install laptop. I do not bother syncing my records with my bank though. Just enter things manually.
Hope this helps a bit and good luck!
The original 2007 MS Money works fine on 10 as does syncing records with my bank. All you need and ever needed was the *.dll and it works fine. Best of luck.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. How many of you thought that Windows 7 would continue to receive MS support until 2020 ?
Well, MS, in their wisdom have decided to only support Win 7 until 2020 - as long as you don't alter any hardware on the PC !!
If you do - then you will lose support in 18 months time (July 17th 2017)
They have also decided to change the "WINDOWS 10 UPGRADE NAG" to offer 2 options "upgrade NOW" & "Upgrade Tonight"
Read this and be concerned at MS changes...

W7 is already out of support ... mainstream functional (Current) support anyway. MS only guarantee to offer security updates for threats (Extended support) until the end-of-life date in January 2020.0

How many devices will still be running Win 7 after 11 years without any major updates (remember Win 7 was released in 2009) ?0 -
