Not much to report. My blue bin (paper and card) had the contents all over my end of the back and 3" water in the bottom so sorted that. Spent some more on food (out of fruit) and £2 travel (£1 each way to the other house). Green bin there had been emptied and hadn't been blown into the muddle of the main road so two things to tick off my worry list.
Felt fine until I went outside so getting to the doctor's is back to top of the list (inhaler is empty). Went to buy a sack of carrots (£1.20 - last time there was approx 12.5 kg in it), changed my mind and continued to other house. Had large rucksack with me but had forgotten the rubble sacks (in middle of kitchen floor drying as they were all over the garden yesterday). Didn't get a lot done and really wasn't up to bringing dolly truck with huge kitchen bin full of wood (hopefully my new back gate) with me but brought post/ junk mail back. Need to buy an all day anybus ticket tomorrow and do as much as possible. i have added £30 to my emergency fund.
Today I am grateful for some lovely sunshine before the squalls, for having the foresight to bring my knickers in last night (most of the washing stayed on the line but it's so embarrassing when you have to go round the neighbours asking if they have any of your underwear) and for baked potatoes. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Hello everyone
sorry for the lack of posts, work has been busy and college work deadlines are calling.
Managed a SFD today which I am amazed at as they have been few and far between.
Starting to receive paperwork for the new accounts looking forward to getting on top of the finances and get saving to move out of MIL. I didn't realise how stressful it was going to be living here , but I am greatful that we have a roof over our head so I need to put up and shut up
I hope nobody has had any lasting damage from the storm. it is getting very windy where I am and I live by the sea !!.
Stay safe everyone and hugs to all that need it .
My three things for today
1. Having a roof over my head
2. a nice cup of tea
3. my OH

Evening all
Not a spend free day - I had a prescription to pick up then spent £1 on a bag of chocolate for me and the kids to share. Work stress is getting to me too, and it's getting hard in terms of keeping up with marking and all of the other stuff - I can feel my temper getting shorter and shorter...
Applemuncher - I can't imagine having a lovely year 10 lesson...:rotfl:
Things I am grateful for today:
1. Almost being finished my Christmas shopping
2. Getting loads done and not wasting any of my time
3. Snuggling in bed on a cold night. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt

Apple - sorry didn't get a chance to post yesterday after you said about your DHS op. Glad he seems to be recovering well. Eyes are so important, hope it helps him in the future.
Dolly - out of interest how do you know the pub guy doesn't pay? Does he go around telling people? If so that's really lame!
Calling - you sound very busy this week.
LittleSkintDragon - some.good advice given there on what to do with the 4k.
So today was a NSD. So cold and still quite windy here. On the payday count down now. Bank account is pretty empty. But everything reconciled.
Decluttered more paper today, doing well on my removal targets for the month.
All for now

A spendy day - bought toiletries, a wee gift for taking round to a friends and made a payment towards the tv licence.
Today I'm grateful for

- escaping from work a little bit early

Bob - I know that they don't pay for the trips because in class the teacher always tells the child that her trip money isn't in and mentions it every day including the trip day. The girls mum waits outside the gates when a trip is near rather than near the classroom.
I did a full grocery shop at Lidl last night and spent £62.37, this included 2 blocks of cheese, lots of fruit, a whole chicken, a large pack of diced chicken, german sausage and a big jar of coffee plus loads of other stuff. I also bought 2 Christmas presents there (food items) but they are not included in that amount.
Hopefully I won't be spending any money today, I have work to do, I need to do some ironing, walk the dog and do some exercise. My exercise has not been good for the last week due to the horrendous weather and being an outdoor exerciser.
I got my energy overpayment refunded, we got £195 back so I have transferred £100 to the Christmas/birthday account and that is the last amount of money going in there, £45 went to the car expenses account and £45 to the emergency fund.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
