So a 15 year old kid was able to defeat a multi-National companies security ......

    Anyone else concerned ?

This is not unusual or the first time someone that is <18yo has been able to compromise large corporate websites. Nor is it surprising because these "professionals" are useless at security and so comes at no surprise sites such as JP Morgan Bank (76 million customers) details were exposed etc.

It would be again a minor who doesn't have a social life so spends all their time on the PC doing these sort of things

What's he actually been arrested for? Perhaps he was only the idiot who followed up with the ransom email as a joke.

Instead of stopping his pocket money, why not give him the job of Head of Online Security at TT? I'd imagine there will be such a vacancy quite shortly in that department.

Just had another call from the T.T scammers.
Have been getting a few calls lately from scammers pretending to be from T.T about my broadband. Number unavailable, they knew my name.
Apparently T.T can do nothing about them.
    Extremely annoying to say least.
Anyone know the e-mail for the CEO???

This was posted on talktalk forums, can't tell you if it is true or a joke.

    It's a screen grab from http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!/.

Apart from the email address, the details (of TalkTalk) are widely published on the InterWeb.

Edit: Oh, MSE doesn't like the URL. It belongs to a website that publishes contact details of CEOs.
  • Hi all,

I was with TalkTalk a while back.

I sent an em to Dido earlier today and got a response from one of her minions to advise me that my details may have been compromised. I will be seeking compensation due to their incompetence but await details before proceeding.

Just glad I left them a while back. Totally incompetent and hope they get fined millions as they deserve to be.

I have 12 months free membership at noodle now but I see, via the web, that it gets lukewarm feedback.
