"what we've learned so far indicates that the TalkTalk attack is not a sophisticated assault by a nation state or organised crime, but a crude stick-up from crooks demanding a ransom to go away."
Just watched a H of C urgent question debate on TT - - Ed Vaizey useless.

I'm not sure what to do. I left talktalk in May this year. I've since moved house so I have a different address and also have a new landline number. I'm not sure if this will be enough to prevent any fraudulent activity with my bank account. I have the same credit card and bank account numbers. I'm not registered for Internet banking so I'm wondering if that will help prevent thieves accessing my account or not.
Should I close my bank account to be on the safe side? And cancel my credit card? Or, is it worth just keeping a close eye on my accounts, which I do anyway. Are talktalk offering the years free noddle alerts for ex-customers? I think I'd prefer experian anyway. Maybe I should just sign up to that for a year.0 -

Have been getting a few calls lately from scammers pretending to be from T.T about my broadband. Number unavailable, they knew my name.
Apparently T.T can do nothing about them.
Extremely annoying to say least.
Anyone know the e-mail for the CEO???0 -
you can get noodle (call credit) free of charge for life , once registered read post 233 to add the free email alert , from memory the code was TT231 , might work better to register first then add this , this extra is valid for 12v mths
noodle is only a one day a month "snapahot" , not real time , call credit is only a small CRA , try also (free) https://www.clearscore.com/?utm_source=Clearscore+Customers&utm_campaign=6af4fb6664-Global_Nav_Update_AB_Test10_6_2015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_fd88658f83-6af4fb6664-117603777
