3-6 Month Emergency Fund Challenge!!

Whilst it's not, by any stretch, an emergency I am putting all of my spare funds into my EF anyway so don't have the scope to save up for a large purchase (only have money for day to day expense)... so that said I removed £175 today to get myself a second-hand refurbished xbox one with two games for my birthday - the price for a console without games is still around the £250 mark new (my current xbox 360 is a decade old I am notoriously cheap with my electronics). Second-hand one cost £193.99 so covering a bit from regular funds.
With my regular saving it'll be replenished in a month.
So this week was £45 + £10.50 + £4.30 in and -£175 out for a total of -130.20

Woohoo! Did it! Paid off mum and dad today, put another £500 in my EF and also had enough in my budget to pay DS's uni accommodation deposit at short notice. This challenge has been brilliant for me - I'm so in control of my budget, it's making me more frugal and I've saved more now than I ever have done. Thank you Helen! £4000 is now my total. Off to do more money saving in the month of April!:j:j:j3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200. Hey all...
I was wondering if I could join this board... I was a member of some of the debt busting threads a while back - I recognise a few of the challengers here :T I cleared my debts but really need to build up an EF...
Cracked car windscreen... Other unforseen expenses... Makes me realise how important it is to save for a Rainy Day...
If I can - can I aim for 1 month... then up to 3... then 6...?
£1500 ---> £4500 ---> £9000? I think if I do in small chunks I won't lose heart!!!
Great to see the boards so active

Could I join this challenge please?
I am ttc baby #2 and hope to take 6 weeks unpaid leave at the end of the maternity leave. I have calculated that I would need about €3000 to leave me comfortably able to pay my bills and cover the cost of living. In the meanwhile, it would also double up as a general emergency fund, as I don't have any provision for an emergency of any kind.... :eek:
So........I am aiming for €3000. :ACredit Card: €6000 ---> €3827.31
