  • I just booked to go to NYC in April with BA. I paid £246 each for flights. Is this a decent price?

  • How did you get that price? I am looking for New York flights in either February (half term) or April and can't find any flights less than around £350 from BA.

I've been looking at flights for April (school holidays) and yesterday they dropped across the board. They had been about £360 now they're down as low as £270....

Sorry, in my excitement I didn't realise that you weren't mindreaders ;) The flights are from LHR to NYC. The cheapest seems to be Air France on a code share with Delta (£274) but as they don't have seat back screens I decided to go for Virgin - again LHR to NYC. £288.

These were found through all the usual agents - Expedia, Kayak, Opodo. I went with Expedia to get 1% cashback from Quidco and they don't charge extra for using a credit card.
  • hi all

Booking to go to NY in Feb and alot of the websites fly into different airports snd then depart from another ie Newark Liberty or JFK

Which one would we need or does it not matter? Which is central?

also if anyone can recommend a good flight company for cheap flights that would be great, so far best price is £289ret with Virgin

    thanks x

Quidco to date = £1224 cashback
  • jfk and newark are both equidistant to manhattan, and have excellent transport links.
The government sets the taxi fares to and from airports so you won't get ripped off :)

It's like asking the difference between Heathrow & Gatwick - ie very little and you just pick the one that's more convenient in flight times and costs for you.
