  • You might also see La Guardia (LGA), which is even closer to the city centre, but only if you look at connecting flights (the airport is only permitted to accept flights within a range of 1500 miles).
  • Brilliant thanks, i didn't know they were so close so thank you for the info

Quidco to date = £1224 cashback
  • Taking the Skytrain from JFK to Manhattan is very easy. A 7-day unlimited MTA Metro card costs $25 (adults) and if you buy it at the Skytrain it covers your trips to/from the airport too. Metro card can be used on buses as well as the subway. There are different time periods that you can get cards for. Single Skytrain costs $7. Taxi $45. Enjoy!

wait until the new year and then look on https://www.netflights.com, we did this earleyer this year and got tickets with delta airlines from manchester to washington change at newyork jfk for £194 inc tax. this was much cheaper than booking direct with airline. you may have to be a bit flexable with dates but thes were exellent flights leaving manchester at 11am and arriving back at manchester at 11am
  • ba.com is offering LHR-JFK-LHR for £258 in mid-Feb

if you had read things, you could have saved yourself a lot of time, and having to post on this board..

click on the thread - ANYTHING & EVERYTHING NEW YORK then you'll find your answer within that (search) or, you will find a - getting into and around manhattan, mini guide, you could read, which will explain everything to you there..

posting a new thread on things that have already been answered numerous times is pointless IMO

Can you guarantee that this is going to happen again? Remember that the bargain flights many of us had with Delta earlier this year was actually an error. I would hate for the OP to miss out in case of something that is unlikely to happen again.
    Gone ... or have I?

mark just book it you know the best you will get is about 3pints cheaper but also if you wait at that price you will end up getting there 8 hours later not worth the hassle . Also delta direct is showing about £350 if that went down to £325 ish i would also jump on it because for a direct flight without p1ssin about at LHR or AMS or CDG is well worth its coin at about 5am on the way home enjoy your holiday and have a great birthday . Thanks for your imput here too
 hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world

i want to book, but i normally don't book things til the second week of Jan, so i'll wait patiently, and book it like normal..

i need to get back into work and book the time off first, because i know there is a big project coming up, and if it clashes, i might not get the time off (grrrss)
