  • I've found a return flight to JFK from LHR for £240 with BA on statravel in June..is this the best I could hope for? It was £320 a few weeks ago so I'm thinking this is the best price I'm going to get....

How long is a piece of string?

£240 is a good price, if you are happy with it then book and do not check the prices again. People have got lower prices in the past, but there is no guarantee they will happen again.
    Gone ... or have I?

well.. according to my signature, anything under £300 is a FIVE STAR PRICE, which means it is good, and you really can't go wrong..

for Jan Feb Mar, the prices are slightly lower, so a 5* price is really anything below £250.

I've been travelling to NYC now for about 8 years, and still not paid more than £250 for a flight when i go in March...

oh, and bear in mind the BA sale is now on... not bad IMO, buy it now! :D

With the UAE slowing down oil productio to bump prices up i'd suggest booking now. The airlines will find any excuse to put the prices up at the earliest opportunity.

is £671 cheap for 2 to jfk from manchester in june
need to have a lightbulb moment
  • If it's of use, I have just booked tickets this morning for 2 of us from Heathrow to JFK for the easter weekend with Virgin Atlantic at £258 per person. The only extra was a £6 charge for Amex.

Looking at available flights, this price seemed to be available for most weekends between now and the summer as long as didn't travel on a Friday and stayed for the Saturday (the usual thing). I also had a lot of choice around flight times and airports.

£335 a flight isn't what i call cheap.... June can be more expensive, but also you might grab a bargain... also bear in mind the weather in NYC can be awfully hot, and humid, and unbearable..

So the same as BA. I know which I'd choose, and it wouldn't be Virgin.
