Sorry about that, 3/4 nights and £500 each we do want direct, due to only having childcare for a few nights.

airlines like US Airways and Delta, have around 33" and 34" pitch in standard economy class. I know, i've travelled with both, and feel, well as comfortable as anyone who is 6'5 crammed into a seat..

Delta, you request the exit row at the airport, so get their early
US Airways, you can probably request the Bulkhead Seats, but afaik (from manchester) you request that at the gate, as soon as the staff turn up

4 nights to NYC from LON... ok...

Cheapest - Fly on 9th or 16th £359 - from LGW to EWR, from EWR to LHR (Continental)
Next Cheapest - same days - £368- LHR to JFK - Delta - no stupid airport change....

Hope that helps, book direct with airlines website

    Hi Guys.

Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip to NY for 4 nights in december. Using that NWA japan tip (thanks for that!), the cheapest flights from Manchester i've managed to find are to Newark with a change in Amsterdam for £295.

Anyone here had any experience of Newark Airport? How easy is it to get to Manhatten? Public transport links, taxi fares etc.

    Thanks :)

Just tried NWA Japan site to NYC from Cardiff 8 Dec and out and 14 Dec back.
    124 660 Japanese yen = 587.932995 British pounds

Nice! £295 per person. I ask is it simple just to book ? do you get charged any extra for any conversion of paying from one currency to another ? and do you lose any rights by booking through non UK site ? like Atol etc...

I just tried to book through the japanese NWA site and when i comes to filling in card details, it says that the billing adress for the card must be in Japan.

Is there any way round this?

I am looking for a flight for me and my other half to New York (any of the NY airports) going Saturday 16th August and coming back Saturday 30th August (although we are flexible as we have no firms plans and are going on a little bit of a whim because we can!) We'd prefer to fly from Brum as it's local but anywhere in UK (bar maybe Glasgow!) would suffice if the price was right.

Cheapest I can find is just over £600 each which don't seem like no bargain to me!
  • I'm looking for flights to new york for my husband and I, we want to go on 6th November and return on 9th November, the cheapest I've found so far have been about £400 each, does anyone know if it will be cheaper if we wait until nearer the time to book, or if this is an expensive time to go?
    Thanks
