    Hello,

My husband is running the New York marathon for charity (RNLI) and we need to fly to New York around 28th - 30th Oct returning on 4th Nov.

Obviously we are keeping our eyes peeled for cheap flights, they seem to be coming in around £400 - £450 including all charges. We don't care which airports!

Has anyone heard of any good offers that they'd be able to share, please?

    Many thanks

No I will fly with anyone at all. Where on earth do you find these. I've tried Expedia and Kayak etc. Could you let me know so I can book this today. Cheapest I can find for 18/19th July to 22/23 August is like £600, which is a joke.

    Really appreciate the help!!
  • Hi, Just wondered if anyone could help me find a cheap flight for 2 adults and a baby for sometime in September for 5, 6 or 7 days from Manchester. Cheapest I've found is £1117 for the lot. We went last October and it was quite a bit cheaper, gutted I didn't book a couple of weeks ago before the taxes went up.

Try dial a flight. I used them a few weeks ago and they saved me a lot of money on my flights. Their phone number is on their website - if you put that into www.saynoto0870.com then you will find a cheaper landline alternative. Hope they can help you in some way. xxx

  • At least don't never use Air Berlin. The reason why the flight from Dusseldorf to New York by Air Berlin is so cheap, is that they have no personnel in New York. So you have no one to help you there. In case something happens, like your bag doesn’t come, you will end with no service at all. The person in the airport information desk even admitted that Air Berlin / LTU don’t even have anyone to answer to their customers’ phone calls. You will then have to spend your vacation travelling between the airport and the city to get any service at all. I would recommend you pay a little bit more for a company that cares about its customers. I wonder how they check that their air planes are in shape, if they don’t even have personnel to take care of baggage.

Air Berlin also tries to fool you with the ticket policy. They sell you a ticket that you can you can totally cancel and get your money back, but when you start cancelling it, they don’t give you any money back.

Air Berlin totally tries to fool its customers.

    Take it from the experience.

Just booked flights from Glasgow to New York for £289 on Expedia (http://www.expedia.co.uk/).
They're with Northwest/KLM and go via Amsterdam. We're going from Tuesday 23rd September to Tuesday 7th October. From a brief extra look, it would appear that Tuesdays are the only cheap days for this deal.
Hope this is of use to somebody.
