Im trying to find some cheap flights for at least 4 people from Manchester to Liverpool (30th bday celebrations), at the moment, all I can find is around the £500 mark =( Anyone have any ideas?

That sounds like a good deal. Is it on a private plane? Or is there are stopover somewhere foreign?

hahahaha, well thanks to the funny and offensive comments to my last 'utterly ridiculous' post, I did of course mean from Manchester to New York, I would have thought someone would have got on that one, but never mind!

So yeah, if anyone can come up with flights cheaper than £500 return from Manchester to NEW YORK I would be very greatful ;-)

You will need to search through this thread to find what you're after. You don't say when you want to fly or whether you require direct or indirect flights etc.

yup.. as glennthebaker said.. we need more details to help you in getting cheap flights..

i can get you a flight for £230 right now from Manchester... but it probably won't be the right dates..

read my booking a New York trip guide, and you'll see there i mention about the whole 3 month guide, as when is a good time to book a new york flight... don't ask me why 3 months is a good time.. it has just worked out that way... and i've been to NYC plenty of times.. :)

as for from liverpool, the only one i can think of is flyglobespan, and their reviews, leave something to be desired...

    Happy Christmas everyone!

Cheers Markymoo, I want to fly around July, mid July probably( cheapest dates for a 5 days stay between 13th july- 30th july!), and just to let everyone know I have searched through this forum already and tried searching different websites, and as Ive said, the cheapest I can get is 500 approx, so maybe I need to wait 3 months before? but thats the kind of advice I was after =))

yeah.. i'd definately wait a bit more... one thing to bear in mind that the temperature in July, in MAY be unbearably hot..
i was there in september, and for 2 days it was soo hot, i could stand somewhere outside, and without any breeze, it was just ugh! thankfully it cooled off for the rest of the week...

    Hi guys,

I wish everyone on the board a Happy Christmas and a Prospeous New Year. Due to work commitments and lack of free time, I have planned for a while to go to New York with my girlfriend in February. I want to book as quickly as possible as im sure around that time, it will be expensive due to it being around Valentines day. I plan to go around the 16th February to 22nd February.

I have asked many people how they have traveled to New York and most of them have told me to book via Lastminute and Expedia. The prices on there are not too bad,but the hotels available are not in the ideal locations (when looking at the price). I plan to spend a maximum of £500 each on accommodation and flights.

I have tried using Zoom but unfortunately, they don't have flights available around those dates.

Im in two minds whether to book a package holiday or perhaps book everything separately.. Due to the time constraints and perhaps its too late to get a good deal, I think the latter would be a cheaper option?

I have managed to find a good deal with STA travel which is around £283 (each). I know you wouldn't really consider this a bargain, but if anyone finds anything cheaper I would be grateful!

For my accomodation, I was thinking of a B&B lodge, called Bubba Bean Lodge. They have good reviews and looks like a nice place to stay centrally. It has a kitchen and everything you could need. They are doing a good deal where you buy $660 for 6 nights which works out £330 split between too...(approx excluding tax and accomodation charge)

Do you think this is a good way of working things out? I plan to apply for a Nationwide Credit Card also!

Let me know what you guys think..Your guidance and thoughts are appreciated on this cold night :)

    J

you don't say what airport you're traveling from??
however, at a quick look, there really isn't much around... as you're looking only 6 weeks away, the only thing i can think of is that the flights are fairly busy, and the cheap fares are booked!!!

i've found £265 from Man - NYC with US Air - via Philadelphia

however.. if you shift your dates to be 14th - 20th, you can get a flight from london for £250.... (or £230 if you change somewhere)

try travelocity.co.uk and put in "my dates are flexible" and it gives you a grid of a week each way... then you know what prices are around..
