Markymoo, is that a return flight or a one way flight to NYC?
I am also interested in cheap but good places to stay in NYC, any ideas where I would find the information?
    Cheers.

    Hello Lear

Your thread will be better placed in the 'Travel, Trips & Holidays' board, so I'll move it across.

    Hello all!

Sorry, am a complete novice at flying as I haven't had a holiday in a billion years! :D

Been looking (remember, with amateur eyes!) for flights for 2 people on 25/08/08, returning on 2/3/4 Sept 08 (10 ish days) and have found £728 flights with Delta using Airline Network.... These seem quite good but I wondered if there are any professionals/professional MSErs (!) on here who could find a better flight?

I'm just off to the New York board to see about a cheap hotel - 'tis for my honeymoon so I want to save money on the flight and spend it at the hotel!

    :D

    Thanks all, in advance....

    pay more...dont fly delta.

I did toronto to cancun via atlanta this year
    • first leg of journey we were informed that there were no life jackets under the seat, but it didnt matter as we were not going over the sea!! if we should find ourselves diverted over water and needed a life jacket the the seat cushion detached and we could hold onto it!! there were several worried parents with small children too young to hold on:eek:
    • we then spent 9 hours at atlanta airport, not through choice.at the end of our 8 hour delay we were told that there was no plane to take us to cancun untill the following afternoon!
    • given no access to luggage so we were given a t shirt toothbrush tooth paste and soap and half the cost of dinner and breakfast the next morning at an hotel. WHAT MORE COULD WE WANT!
    • the hotel would not let us out as we had not cleared customs so not even a tour of the city by cab.
    • when we eventually arrived at cancun the following afternoon, only one piece of luggage made it:eek:in need of a good wash and a change of clothes by now.
    • sense of humour running really thin now, 2 bits were in miami and my DD'S they couldnt find.
    • all luggage turned up after 6 days, can you imagine a teenage girl with non of her own clothes!
    • and we had to do it on the way back as well.only lost 2 bits of luggage on way back and took 24 hours to get it to us. big improvement.
wish we had paid the extra £55 each and flown with air canada.

of course they may provide a much better service flying over the pond, but I doubt it.

i know i don't have much say, but please can we not let problems with airlines stop people searching for moneysaving deals.. problems can happen, and i'm sure there are plenty of people here who want to complain about US Airways, but i've had no problems with them..

as for good prices on flights.. take a look at my mini signature, or my new guide - booking an NYC Holiday...
