I got my PAC on 15.12.15, which I gave to Vodafone on the 17.12.15 (and again on the 19.12.15, 21.12.15, and 23.12.15 due to constant errors at their end).
Well, today I noticed that my Sainsbury's sim states that it is no longer connected to a network and the number comes up as "invalid" when people ring it. The number hasn't actually transferred to my new Vodafone sim though, so it seems to have just vanished.
My contract with Sainsbury's doesn't end until 15.01.16, so what on earth is going on?!
If you give the PAC to the new network (Vodafone, in this case) then the port should happen the next business day and you lose the remaining days of the old contract. If you had wanted to use your Sainsbury's sim to the end you should have waited until the 12/13 of January before giving it to Vodafone.
The fact that Vodafone have made a mess of the port is no surprise, it's one of their specialities, along with abysmal customer service to fix the problem (and any future problems as well).
Going to Vodafone is a bit like going to an S&M club...====0 -
We had to beat them up just before Xmas to get the £19 PayGo credit refunded onto the Nectar Card even though the PAC was issued in October and she transferred to ASDA within 2 days.
For some reason ????? the refund hadn't been actioned - I wonder how many they've managed to get away with so far.
I'll bet that those with a couple of quid outstanding don't bother and give a nice little windfall for Sainsbury'sNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Thanks for this thread - I've got a couple of PAYG SIMs and I think an unused top-up code.
I guess I need to give them a call...0 -
Right, I called them - should be getting just under £30 in Nectar points back, which isn't bad, considering it was all from free credit on checkout vouchers.
They also offered me a store credit voucher, but I was OK with the Nectar points. I didn't ask about a cheque.0 -

Thats a bit unfair, I'm sure you gain some pleasure and leave such club somehow elated over going to or leaving Vodafone, I mean even seeing someone dressed a bit kinky is going to leave you with a smile, cant ever recall anyone doing that after seeing a Voda logo on someones garments.
d123 you might be just as prudish as V customer care to help :rotfl:SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Well I thought my refund was all sorted as I had a gift card sent me, letter dated 15th December, went to use the gift card today, not been activated! I phoned and eventually got through to someone on the 5th attempt and I need another gift card sent me, let's hope this time it will be ok0

Still waiting for my refund cheque which was agreed on 4th December 2015. Tried phoning this morning but gave up after 30 minutes waiting for an operator.
They did manage to send me a PAC on the 16th December though, problem is that I never asked for one!0 -
FYI
Having finally got through to Sainsburys, I have now been informed that any refund cheque will take 28 days from the date of when you use your PAC Code.0
