After 3 months from using the PAC, and chasing twice, getting the same lame "should be by the end of the month" excuses, I have finally got my refund cheque. Just before I was going to make time the matter of the essence and go ballistic, and only 2 weeks before they were going to stop returning their customers' money.....

This was all absolutely pathetic, and Sainsbury's does not care. It does not seem to realise that contracting out customer handling to a third party which fails, leaves a bitter taste. The problem is that for general grocery shopping etc, Sainsbury is better than most of the supermarkets. However, we are moving and if there is a decent Waitrose nearby then I will delight in cutting up the ridiculous Nectar card and deserting Sainsburys. Justin King knew when to get out of it, and so do I.

After emailing Sainsbury's Chief Executive I have finally had by double Nectar points credited to my account - they forecasted my spend up until July and added an additional £20 of points for inconvenience caused. Still claimed "technical difficulties" and in response to my request for their complaints procedure they advised me it was for staff use only and not for the public! - gobsmacked, amazed, shocked etc!

I've had a manual addition of points plus £5/1000 of goodwill bonus. These things must be relative to how big a spender you are.
