I went at the weekend as we wanted a Console Table in Oak, as I have said before the Warehouse sale is to clear returned / damaged items, as such a lot of it does have faults and damage.
If you are reasonable with DIY you can pick up some good stuff.
They have a lot of coffee tables! Some sideboard type cupboards, console tables etc. A lot of the stuff is in a very dark wood, but by no means all of it.
We did manage to get the Oak console table that has 2 drawers and 2 shelves underneath complete with the baskets to go on them, there was some damage in two places that required gluing and clamping, but hubby was able to do it easily and I couldn't spot where the damage was once he had finished. The table cost us £100, it normally retails for £226 so I was very pleased with it.
When I poped back in on Sunday afternoon they seemed to have sold quite a lot of stuff, I'm not sure if they are re-stocking.
To be honest I wouldn't drive 180 miles just to go there as there is no guarentee they'd have what you want unless you ring them in advance to see if they've got it.
But knowing my luck if I did that by the time I got there it would have sold!
Hope that helps
If you live nearby it's well worth a visit though.

Thanks for letting me know... I don't think I will make the drive unless I hear they have restocked from someoneThe Head Honcho (does very little work)0

Im keen to purchase but to be honest im worried after reading some of these stories. Does anyone have any undoctored pics of furniture they've bought that they could post somewhere so I could have a look at it.
I'd be very appreciative.0 -
Search the forum for the other oakfurnitureland thread, I posted pictures of several Items I purchased in the light mango range and had no problems with. The Head Honcho (does very little work)0

I'll keep this thread updated with what happens: if they solve this then it'll be thumbs up despite the aggro...
Here's the promised update. First - if you do need to deal with them don't ever expect to get through on the telephone option for after-sales - it always just rings out. Go through to sales and speak to them instead.
Anyway: I had to resend my letter a third time because they didn't respond to the second e-mail. I was then offered £60 to get it fixed locally. I replied saying that I wanted a refund or replacement. Again there was no reply until I e-mailed again saying that I was about to get my credit card company involved to claim the money back through them. That prompted a telephone call to me on the same day and the offer of replacement furniture. However I declined this and am instead returning the items for a refund. However I cannot return the undamaged items in the set without paying £50 per item.
So, eventually, it's fixed. As I said before it is quite nice furniture, and if it had all arrived undamaged then I'd be happy to recommend them. They've clearly got a very low cost business model - it arrives from the Far East already boxed and, I suspect, goes straight from the container to the customer without spending time in their warehouse. And if you're good at DIY then I'm sure their sales of returned items must be brilliant value. But they really need to work on their aftersales service and policies.0 -

With these items alone my dining room is completely transformed - it looks fantastic.
I bought a sideboard from them at the same time, but unfortunately there is a scrape on the top. If it had been anywhere else I'd probably have kept it, but on the top it's most noticeable. Looking at this more closely today, I think it may have happened during manufacture rather than transportation - it looks like it has been rubbed over afterwards.
I've been in touch and am awaiting an email. Will keep you posted on how this transpires, but from the conversations I've had with the company I must say I'm not expecting problems.
Update on a replacement sideboard.:
I was offered a little cash to get the damage rectified, but after phoning around some local woodwork shops, no-one was interested in doing such a small job.
I notified OakFurnitureland and they said never mind, they'd replace it.
It had a 6 week lead time but a replacement came in two weeks.
I now have a fantastic sideboard to match the rest of my dining room.
We recently christened it with a large family meal, and it was great!0 -
I wouldn't recommend Oakfurnitureland.
I ordered some furniture from Oakfurnitureland on 9th Feb and it arrived on 16th March, quicker than originally stated. However, the coffee table has a crack in it and a sharp bit of wood protruding from it where it has kind of 'splintered'. There is also another little bit of wood coming away at the base, and there are marks on it at each corner of the top that look as though the varnish/top coat is coming off. I have emailed Oakfurnitureland pictures, and their response was to offer £40 to have it repaired. I told them that I don't want it repaired - it will always be weaker at the repair than the rest of the table - and they have now told me to get 'a few quotes' from local carpenters. It's like they have totally ignored what I said and are pushing me to keep this damaged table, which is not fit for purpose. I have told them I want a refund, as they have blamed the damage on the delivery company, and so I don't have much faith in a replacement getting here undamaged. So far I haven't heard back, but I think that they might try and get me to pay for the delivery back to them. Maybe that's why your furniture turns up earlier than expected - the extra weeks are there so you can get all the damage repaired. I also ordered two leno dark rustic side tables, which aren't exactly wowing me, either. The finish is pretty rubbish, again it looks as though some of the varnish/top coat is coming away, and there are patches of 'untreated' wood on the side of the top. One of the legs is loose, even though the screw is in fully, and the wood on the corners of the legs is a different colour - its got that 'distressed' look, even though it shouldn't. Not impressed at all, which is a shame, as I have a house to fill! Will definitely not be going back.0 -

Hi, we have just bought the same item, by the sound of it - ours had no damage that we could find and cost us £120. I am thrilled with it. We bought a couple of other oak pieces and are very happy with them. They just got a load more stuff in this week and much of it was oak. Some serious bargains to be had if you look around - they will also negotiate on price and we found them very helpful.
(No I am not related to them either! )0 -
I ordered a coffee table and a lamp table online from Oakfurniture land. It arrived on 25th March quicker than stated. Lamp table is fine no real major issues. However the coffee table has a scratch on one of the draw and its not finished properly at the bottom and top of 3 of the draws...looks like the woods been chipped off. I emailed them pictures and was offered £40 to have it repaired and told me the delivery company were to blame. I told them that would no where near cover the cost of the repair should I opt for that option. Also it was their warehouse staff that delivered the product and that the box and protective coverings only had minimal damage to it, which was no where near where the damage to the actual coffee table was.
They then said they would offer a collection and refund but would not offer a replacement as they work on very tight margins and its not feasible to send a replacement. I told them this really doesnt make any sense as once the refund is processed i can just order the same product online again once the refund had been processed. They said they had no way to police that and many of their customers do do that.
They did recommend me a repair agent however they have a £30 + VAT call out fee to inspect. Therefore the allowance would only just about cover that without taking into consideration the cost of repair!
Decided to try and phone around other repair specialists but not having much joy. Will no doubt have to get them to collect the damaged product and then order again online. I cant return the lamp table as there is no damage to it and would have to pay £50 collection fee! If i order from somewhere else the lamp table may not match the coffee table...not impressed at all!0 -
I ordered the wesley ash double bed on 20 march and it was delivered today. It was in clearance for £199 and i used a £10 off code to make it £189. (It is now priced at £179 following further reductions.) I also got £16.50 cashback tracking on quidco. Delivery was free.
The bed came by courier today and it is gorgeous. I am so pleased with the quality - lovely solid wood with no damage whatsoever and so sturdy. Similar beds in the furniture stores we had looked in were priced closer to £400.
I thought I'd let you know about our good experience as we really ummed and ahhhed abut making a purchase from this company due to some of the comments on here. I wouldn't hesitate to order again as we've really got a beautiful bed at a bargain price.
