What a truly despicable company Oak Furniture land are.
Problems placing the order, then they lost the order, broken promises, inept, incompetent, uncaring and unhelpful staff.
A failed delivery leaving us waiting around for 4 hours, eventually when the order was received over half the items were either broken or damaged.
Now we have to ‘return’ the (damaged) free gift as the order is not over £1500.
Avoid this company at all costs.0 -
Bunch of cowboys bullying tactics with the worse online transaction I have ever had to experience, Long story short my partner were expecting delivery today for a Table of £350, their driver claimed they waited outside for 10 minutes after my Mrs called them and told them she went to the Garage for 1 minute which is right next to the entrance of the property. She agreed to pay another £40 to have this rearranged 3 days later even though it is not her fault as clearly the driver either lied about waiting outside the property for 10 minutes or they were at the wrong address.
I called customer service and their CS advisor J confirmed we would be refunded the delivery cost but then I received the email from them saying the delivery date will now be 1 month from today on 05/10/16, called them back and spoken to with a vicious tone by a guy in sales S accusing us of lying and we would be liable to pay the 2nd charge of £39 to have this re-delivered.
So I told them I would be happy to pay them the original £39 'missed' delivery cost which they did not attempt and have the order cancelled, they then shamelessly suggest not only I have to pay £80 in total (2 x £40) for a delivery that's is not going to happen AND £50, although on their refund policy the cost will only apply if within 2 days of delivery date, and most conveniently their cancellation team is not available to cancel my order today (today is the 3rd working day away from the re-delivery date).
Their product might be good value but their couriers and moral conduct is shocking, they will go out of their way to milk as much money as they possibly can they will still make it 100% justified.0 -
ordered a wardrobe 2 bedside cabinets and a tall boy at a cost of just under £1600 including the insurance
when the item was delivered the delivery drivers just left the wardrobe downstairs and blocking access to our kitchen, they claimed as they unpackaged the wardrobe to get it in the front door they were not insured to place it in the bedroom - Customer service confirmed this was not true and they should have taken it upstairs into the correct room. (then i receive a call from OFL advising my wife had told them she wanted it where they put it (would we really want a wardrobe blocking our front door?)
After a lengthy call to the CS team i managed to get a refund of £100 but only after advising them i had cerebral palsy and my wife is 7 months pregnant but nonetheless not bad i thought, however our problems were not over
Once i had paid someone to place the wardrobe in the bedroom my family started to assemble the Wardrobe.
We had finally got it together to discover one of the handles was damaged one of the rails and a further handle had been replaced (the damaged ones were at the bottom of the wardrobe)
The doors were not hung correctly as one scrapped the bottom of the wardrobe, we later discovered 2 more large marks and a crack in the side oak furniture land asked for pictures so we uploaded them on there system as requested.
We had a call an hour later telling us they would only take away the wardrobe and refund it after we had dismantled it and taken it down stairs, now to ask a disabled customer and his pregnant wife to do this is ludicrous.
I advised i am happy to simply have a new one as the rest of the furniture is no good without the wardrobe Oak Furniture land would not replace the wardrobe they would only send a carpenter round to make it "like new"
I refused this option as i wanted a new piece of furniture not a damaged 2nd hand piece made to look like new.
I am still battling to get the wardrobe replaced and have completely lost faith in OFL and would advise anybody to look for alternative furniture suppliers if they want a no hassle and trouble free service0 -

I think they are brilliant! Used them loads of times, never had a problem.0 -
I would have normally recommended oakfurniture land, I have lots of their products. However my last purchase there're is a problem. Customer service said this is the expansion gap doing its job and not a fault, But it has looked like this since it arrived, and the temperature has changed. The ones in the show room don't look like this, so why does mine. Yes I am a first time complainer, but only searched for this forum when I had a problem
Can't put a link to photo as a newbie. But imagine a grove about 5mm wide running around the the top of the table, When t gets to one corner to grove gets narrower until it disappears, then gets wider again. Only one corner does this. The tables in several show rooms I visited don't look like this.0 -

I have not been able to access my account so had to join mse again, as jsj14 to give you this update.
I went back to the store and they said email customer services rather than speaking to them. After a few emails,I was even more upset, the last one being quite abrupt in which they said there would be no more coresponace on the issue, unless I Paid for an independent inspection. So I looked into this, it would cost hundreds of pounds, however it turns outs they need to prove it's fault not me. So I replied quoting the word from the citizens advice webpages - a few days later I got a telephone call, they were extremely nice, and said they were sending someone round to inspect it. Which they did.
I have just rang to chase them, it's been a few days, and I have not heard anything. To my delight they have agreed to send me another table top, which is being delivered next week. Result! However I had to go through a lot of stress to get this sorted.0 -
I spent £3700 in store, the sales guy was great, got delivery on time to my new address and the delivery guys were great, so far so good. Then I moved in and got round to unboxing and assembly, that's where the problems started, coffee table had large dent in corner, bookcase was cracked, bench feet would not screw in and side table had no fixings at all, then the nightmare really started , dealing with 'customer service's they were terrible, absolutely useless, I even informed them that it was not the end of the world and damage happens , but their attitude was couldn't care less and offered me £100 in store credit! For damaged goods on delivery , what a joke, their attitude was the reason they had to replace every item at some cost etc. I cannot emphasise how terrible all the customer advisors were, I even told them that I was supposed to be putting another order in now I was fully moved in and saw what room I had. They even said they would provide a small expense payment for me to go out and purchase fittings locally to fix one of the items! What a joke. So roll on 7 more days and the new items arrived, again the delivery guys were great, I built the furniture and lo and behold the coffee table is coming apart where it had not been glued/assembled correctly, but I cannot be bothered to go through all the stress of speaking to the non customer service dep again. So OFL you have lost further sales for myself and I have made it a task to inform all my friends and family of the issues /stress involved. Dont know what their business plan is, but it does not involve a quality product or good customer service.0
