Ring to cancel and see what they offer.
Have you looked at other methods of phoning abroad cheaper ?

I would not cancel phone and broadband, as things are not as simple as with tv.

Certainly ring to ask what they can offer to keep you, but cancelling, without instructing another company to take over will, at the very least cost you your number.

The December bill will still show the old calls price, unless you contact them to downgrade, because you get the first month at the old rate, as a trial. (I'm not due to pay the £8 rate until mid -January)

I don't need to have mobile minutes, as I have a silly amount I never use on my sim only contract.
Can you drop your mobile phone deal by five or ten pounds per month so that it gives you the amount of minutes you will actually use when away from home?

You'll then be able to have unlimited calls to mobile numbers from your landline for less than a pound per week extra.

My Dec bill is def showing the increase. But still saying Sky anytime.
My mobile has unlimited data, unlimited texts and 600 mins. With Three,12 month contract due to finish this month . £20 per month.
I'm sure I can drop that down. How do I work out how much data I need? [Clueless]
I'll have to try and get home at a reasonable hour to phone Sky tomorrow. Way too busy at work

    Thank you all for replying.

All my future bills say Anytime UK, but the charges are £5 for Nov15-Dec14, £5 for Dec15-Jan14, but £8 for Jan15-Feb14.

What part of the account does the credit offer show when accepting a deal, looking at bills ,payments and nothing showing.
Also no reference to free 12 month BB we agreed, line rental & pay as you talk show as new services, but only had the offer late last night. Future bills still show the same amount as before. The terms & cond email they sent is more the general ones, i have a copy & paste of the whole online chat.
Should i go on live chat again to see what they put in my account? or use the phone.

From memory it shows in "Charges since your latest bill". You'll see that bit under "Upcoming subscription costs".

Probably should show up by now as any changes I've made have shown up right away.

If you can get through on Live Chat use that as you can save the conversation but if not phone them.

  • My Sky ADSL BB contract was ending on 26th Nov. I phoned them to get their best offer to retain me as a customer and mentioned MSE offer for free ADSL BB with £75 cashback from Plusnet. I got offered free BB for 12 months and 1 months free line rental, which I accepted. Didn't want the hassle of switching to Plusnet.

    Got through online.
The deal i agreed was correct and they could see it, but said there was a problem with how it was applied.
Promised it would be honoured, but need to escalate the problem.
All the offer will show once the line is activated in around 14 days, have now got a reference number, so just need to let it be resolved, hopefully.

Had a email from BT within 20 minutes of ordering the switch to sky, and today a automated phone call.
