has this happened to anyone else??
i received an email stating they could not source the console and would get back to me 1st week of October, but i have not received a further email. However checked my bank account today and it has been credited with £179.99 which is roughly the equivalent price of the Wii. I am not due any cash back at all for months so it could not be that. Has this happened to anyone else?0 -
Hi,
I'm looking to buy a Pay as You go with Dialaphone. Just wondering what peoples experiences of them were?
And would there be any problem using my existing sim with one of their PAYG's?
Thanks in advance0 -
Hi, I assume you already have a phone with a sim card which you top up (pay as you go) and you're looking to buy a new phone (upgrade)?
As for the first question, I've never had any problems with Dialaphone just ordering a phone. It's been delivered on time, no probs there. Their customer support can take a while to get through to, but you'll probably not need to contact them if it's just the phone you're buying.
As for the using your sim bit, unless the phone explicitly says it's 'Unlocked' or 'Sim Free', you generally cannot use just any old sim in it. You could get a phone that's on the network your current sim is on )(e.g if you have a vodafone sim, buy a phone on vodafone), and just replace the sim that comes with the phone with your current one, thus preserving any special bundles/deals/credit you have on it. Sometimes it's cheaper to go this route and then unlock the phone either remotely via the internet or at a local shop (depending on the type of time), if you wanted to use it with a different network, e.g when going abroad or changing to a network which offers better call rates.
Hope this helps.

Have found a phone that I like on dialaphone ... O2 paymonthly samsung 900i. £12 per month, after the compulsary Cashback...
What I would like to do is give the free new phone to my son (to use with his Tesco pay as you go sim card) and use the O2 contract sim in my existing phone (which can use any sim card). Reason is i am quite comfortable with my old 6230i and my son (as any teenager) would like a better one with a camera, MP3 player etc.
Am I likely to come accross any problems in doing this?
Are the O2 phones from DAP locked or can any sim be used in them?
If so, is it easy, cheap, free to unlock?Mortgage and totally Debt Free as of December 2008.
boy does it feel good! Thanks MSE for all the tips and advice0 -

I believe that o2 contract phones usually come unlocked.
Even if it isn't, it will accept a Tesco sim, as they 'Piggy back" o2.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

However we're STILL waiting for our Wii after them originally saying it was goin to be here for the 24th Sept. Now in our account our free gift order has been cancelled and DH recieved 2 texts today saying that our credit has been authorised and paymet will be made within 10 working days??
Anyone know what's going on???
same thing happened to me, and i was credited the price of the Wii £179.99, because they were having a problem getting hold of them0 -
Has anyone used this before? Pls share your experiences, thanks!0

I haven't used them (deals haven't been anywhere near good enough) but they have a better reputation than any other dealer as far as I've read and I would use them IF they had suitable deals. It does go without saying that I would do the groundwork first though to make sure I knew exactly what I was getting into.0

Hi
I am just coming to the end of an 18 month contract with t-mobile through dial a phone. I must say I have never had a problem getting my cashback. I have had 4 cashbacks and i'm sending my final one off to them shortly. I always send it on time and they send me a text to say they have received the details, then the cheque follows about a week later.
The main thing is you need to be organised and get those dates marked on your calender, so you don't miss to send off your bills (they like the originals, so I always keep copies).
Hope this helps.
