Hi All

I switched to this tariff last Monday thru Uswitch.

I am already an EON customer, on the MSE Fixed Collective which I joined in December last year.

I rang EON this morning as I had heard nothing since the switch. They've said I won't move onto the new tariff till the old one ends in December.

I thought I would move immediately. Am a bit confused!

How odd. I was in the middle of my last deal with E.on when I switched in September and went through in a few days.

That's not sounding quite right to me! I think you've been told some incorrect information there, I'm sorry about that.

Once the information is sent through to us from the third party sites, the tariff will be changed over for you.

I have just done a comparison on U switch as an existing EON customer.


It says I will save over £485 a year on the collective scheme!!


Is this correct? It seems a lot.

Good morning POPPYOSCAR,

Just a few pointers when you're doing a comparison, it's always best to us your usage in kWh as this will make the quote more accurate.

The other thing is, it depends what the current tariff is, or if the quote has defaulted you on to the standard tariff as this would make the savings look bigger than what they actually would be.

It may also default you to the standard tariff if your current cheaper tariff is due to end, so it won't be comparing with your unit prices now, but with the standard tariff instead.

Well I missed out on the MSE one last month but am willing to give this a go. I am currently with Ovo who I have been very happy with so if Eon are as good customer service ? Also, to get cashback I go through Top cashback - U Switch or Top Cashback straight to Eon ?

Hello. I just moved to another flat last week and I am on a British Gas standard duel tariff which seems extremely expensive. I am looking to switch. This EoN USwitch Plan is shown on my comparison site as the cheapest.


If I apply today, when will I be switched and start paying new tariff? will I be charged an exit fee if I move the flat in 6 months, for example, or disconnect if I have to move out of the UK? Thanks.
