I'm all for cheap energy, and I fully appreciate that some people need more warmth than others, I'm not particularly good at putting up with the cold myself. But I do think that, sadly, a large amount of the population would reduce their energy usage to save money but not because of the environmental implications. Personally, I try (although I'm sure I could do better) to keep my usage low whatever price I'm paying. I'm not sure that is peoples attitude generally though.
I'm sorry if it appeared the comment was directed at you in a negative way, it was more a thought that arose for what you'd said more than anything else if that makes sense.0 -

I am not offended.
I actually want everybody to listen to David Attenborough, and reduce the world population to one billion. The Green movement is hamstrung by the democratic process, which will never be able to enforce what is needed to be done.
Until they make me Supreme Dictator, so everyone not executed for Crimes against the Earth are living in energy efficient Biomes, I just recycle what they can process, and keep warm the best I can.
There was this Italian woman tenant, who wanted to keep the thermostat at 25 degrees! The sentence is a foregone conclusion. :eek:0 -
Just wondering if anyone has received their welcome email yet?
I switched on Thursday night and got an email from Uswitch saying "you will receive a welcome email in the next 4 days along with a link to activate your online account from E-on"
Just want to make sure everything goes through okay as my last supplier have been a bit of a pain so want to get away from them as fast as possible.0 -

Good afternoon Cazzy1987 and welcome.
It sounds like all is going through as you've had the email. I'd give it a day or so, just because it was the weekend in between.
But I'm here to help and to check for you, if you need me

Thank you for the quick response Helenahopefully it will all go through okay then, I will give it another day or so. I have paid my balance in full to my current supplier, so hopefully there shouldn't be any issues with them stopping the switch.
Thanks again!0 -

No worries,
Good idea, but I'm here to help as always

Maybe you missed a post from me on another thread recently.
Scottish Power's October 2016 launched a week ago and is worth considering. Cheaper in this area than that March one, £7 more than the recent CEC E.on, and still without exit fee.
Thanks for this, I was on May 16 and Oct 16 has a lower unit rate for my area for both gas and elec than I was on with the same SC. A pain free switch over!
SP's DD estimator is wacko though. They're dead set on getting me into debt I think. Everytime I touch anything on my account, they keep reducing my payment to below my monthly summertime usage levels. Don't they know winter is coming....0 -

And it lasts for years in Game of Thrones.
I should be on £105 a month, but they put me on £95, because I am £125 in credit. Seems fair enough.0 -

I have under £1 of credit. My payment is matching my usage perfectly but I can't see how that will continue over the next 3 months. Clearly my payment needs to increase but they tried to cut it when I swapped tariff same as they cut it everytime I'm billed even with a £1 balance in the summer. Stupid computer.0 -
Has anyone had their confirmation email from Eon yet? Still waiting on mine, - I did the switch last Thursday.
EDIT - Email from uSwitch just arrived in my inbox, says:
"E.ON has received your switch request. This means you should hear from them soon about a switch date!"0
