We are existing EON customers and switched on 15/10/15.
Our account is still showing on our old tariff and we have not had any communication from you regards the switch.
When are we likely to hear from you?0 -

Would I be right in thinking that you'll be using an estimated meter reading for the backdated switch date for existing customers unless the customer has entered one for the date they applied via uSwitch?
Think you need to get more staff on the case to meet demand or change the message customers are currently being given by uSwitch.
Hi youravinalarrrf
That's right. Usually, we'll use an estimate for the changeover date. This will be based on past usage. The exception is where we've readings for the actual day. They will, though, need to have been used on a bill.
You can do this online through the 'Real Time Billing' tool. If you enter readings, you'll have the option of seeing the balance they'll result in or creating a bill. To create the bill, please select 'Request a Bill.' The only time this won't happen is if the account's in what's known as the 'Billing Window' (14 days either side of the bill date for quarterly billed customers). Here, the first time readings are entered within the window, a bill is automatically produced.
Sorry for the delay. I do know extra staff have recently been drafted in to try to improve on the 10 days. Can I ask what part of the uSwitch site the message you've quoted is from? At the bottom of the switching page, there's a note explaining about the 10 days. It's under 'Confirm your switch.' I might need to drop uSwitch an email if they're saying something different elsewhere.
Don't worry, as I explained to MABLE above, the switch will be backdated to the day advised on your uSwitch email. You won't lose out.
Hope this explains youravinalarrrf. Let me know if you need any more details as happy to help.

Hi POPPYOSCAR
At the moment, we're looking to complete tariff switches to the uSwitch Collective within 10 working days. Sorry this is taking longer than the MSE Collective switches. You won't lose out, though. It'll be backdated to the date advised on the email from uSwitch.
Once done, we'll email to let you know and your online account will update to show the new tariff on the right hand side of the first page. Hope this helps POPPYOSCAR. Let me know if you need any more details as happy to help.

Hi, I joined the collective switch for the MSE EON deal last December, this runs out this December, unfortunately I have been abroad for the last five weeks and have lost touch with what is happening with people switching to a new deal, I know just before I left I registered for info from MSE about a collective switch but haven't had anything else other then EON informing me that my tariff deal ends 9/12/15 can you point me to this latest switch so I can see if it is worth staying with EON
Thanks0 -

Hi Happychappy
Hope the link molerat's posted helps. Thanks molerat. To see a full range of options, both with us and with the other suppliers, pop your usage in kWh on to the independent comparison sites.
As we've sent you a renewal letter, you're now in the Price Protection Window. This means you can change suppliers now without picking up exit fees. You can change from one E.ON tariff to another at any time without exit fees as they only apply when changing supplier.
Hope this helps Happychappy.

So I swapped to Eon from EDF in the collective switch. Sent meter readings for gas and electric on 30th Sept, switch was completed 8th Oct. as I didn't hear anything from EDF, contacted them and they informed me they had not received any meter readings from Eon. Phoned Eon who said they did not have them. I gave them the meter readings from 30th Sept but have just checked my EDF account and the gas reading is wrong. The actual reading is 8998 but they have 9228. EDF said I have to ask Eon to raise a dispute and send them the correct reading. I can't believe I am having to do all this especially as it is so expensive to phone. I have contacted EDF via live chat so at least it hasn't cost anything. I suppose what I am wondering is, can I contact via email rather than phone ? I could only find a list of phone numbers on the app. I'm sorry I changed now because I was happy with the service from EDF.0

The collective switch from E.ON looks good for us. We have low gas usage but much higher electricity (E7 meter though only about 30-35% is at night). We prefer to have a paper bill and pay quarterly. Maybe a whole bill DD is possible quarterly as I believe EDF will do.
My question to E.ON is during the u-switch process, can we opt for paper quarterly billing. We presently are on BG for gas and EDF for electricity where a fix ends March 2016.0
