Evening gang
Billy858 - I'm jealous, I want to post that I've finished painting my bathroom and hallway but..... it won't be for a few days yet.
Sparrer - nice to see you
1. A lovely afternoon with dd in town today. It wasn't :money:as we were buying next year's uniform but I'm proud of my baby girl - she's growing up. She let me buy her a decent pair of shoes and school trousers that will last the year through. The arguments we have had over the past three years about buying cheap, fashionable tat that seemed to need replacing every term :eek:However today. it was she who suggested buying some better quality stuff so no arguments for me to lose  :T
2. Hm shepherds pie (veggie option for ds) - clean plates all round
3. Finding ds's and dd's decluttered rooms so much more easy to manage :j
4. A no painting day :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
5. Still managing to keep on top of the washing and ironing - is this me, can't be - I must be feverish
Have a good evening everyone xxx0 -

thank you thrifty, have been lurking now and then but have yet another chest infection so not been feeling up to much. Hopefully will be back and posting as usual soon.
Tentative good news Caterina, you're wise to complete your 'holiday' to give you both some breathing space.
Love to all

Hope your head is in a good place today Caterina, thinking of you (and all that Guiness.....)
Mine for yesterday/this morning:
1. Someone I've only ever said hello to at work (a colleague of a friend) coming up to tell me how amazing I look with my weightloss and new hairdo
2. DD and I having lots of cuddles
3. Losing more weight, get the confirmation today at the class, but I tried on some clothes from the need to slim into them bag (only one left rather than the 5 I started out with in April!!) and a few more things fit. Yippee!!
4. Cooking some home grown beetroot at the moment and it smells divine. Will freeze for later on
5. Up to 3 watchers on my eb*y item0 -
My five for yesterday
1. Daughter having a huge clearout/tidy up of her bedroom. Looks great now. (and I didn't have to ask/nag).
2. Seeing a big furry caterpillar on the pavement. There always seemed to be a lot more about when I was younger.
3. Fast paced walk with the dog in the evening. I am in training for the yorkshire three peaks. Dog was shattered.
4. Seeing all the messages of support for Caterina on this thread.
5. Hot chocolate with a shot of Baileys in it. Yummy.
Love to all.0 -
Hi all
Sorry for brief message yesterday (run out of time) and thank you very much for all your kind words of encouragement and positive vibes!
Things are "ok-ish" at the moment with him, we are speaking on the mobile and he knows that he needs to work hard at rebuilding our relationship (me too, but I cannot do it alone!). I am still going to do my Irish tour and take my precious time going back!
Here are just some of the pleasures, there are too many to list but here are some:
1 - The Dublin men and their gorgeous accent - bliss!
2 - Did I mention the men? These blokes actually FLIRT! Not that I would act upon it but boy, does it do good to my poor old heart! LOL
3 - The craic
4 - The fact that I have so many dear friends scattered all over Ireland, I am going to see a few of them here and there - in fact I am meeting a lovely OSer today for lunch!
5 - The beauty of this city - but can't wait to see the country and the coast too!
6 - The fact that I can afford (not only money-wise but also work-wise etc) to just up and go.
7 - All the years of OSing have taught me to live very well on very little so I am living it up on very little money - and I have a radar for cheapos LOL Yesterday I caught a full live Irish music and dance show on the price of a tea (expensive at 2 euro but really very little for the privilege of watching the show, it was great!).
8 - The weather still on my side so far, no rain, let's hope it keeps it up! Even a little sunshine yesterday afternoon!
9 - The peace
10 - The hostel is very nice and clean and everybody is very pleasant
I could go on and on, but will stop here and sending all of you love and good wishes for a great day!
Caterina xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Caterina - you're making me want to go to Ireland now!!
Glad you and DH are communicating, and enjoy your holiday x
