  • 1) Getting out my patchwork (hand sewn) and deciding on the colours for the next line
    2) Discovering some long lost cushions - I had recovered them before we moved. Got out the sewing machine and used some of my very precious shabby chic fabric to make them match the dining room. Half way through this task. Nothing spent!
    3) Big family roast dinner with home grown veg. Odd for a Monday but we were all together at the same time so I took advantage of it.
    4) Sitting round together and watching a film after our meal. It wasn't such a good one but that wasn't important.

    Morning everyone!

    Mine for yesterday:

1 - Inspired by the cooking course I made pesto last night - tastes much better than the shop bought stuff so I'm feeling quite pleased with my efforts.
2 - I tried to remake one of the recipes from the weekend and it turned out quite well :) lots of compliments from OH
3 - First set of test results came back clear from the doctor :)
4 - A fridge full of food after shopping last night
5 - curling up on the couch to watch TV with OH last night, not very rock and roll but it's nice to have the company.

    Have a good day all!

    OK here's mine:

    1. The petrol lasting two more days than I expected.
    2. The rain watering my rose for me.
    3. Dinner tonight being baked butternut squash - yum.
    4. Being invited to a bbq for saturday so less cooking and sharing with friends ;)
    5. Planning a posh hotel break for me and OH for next year - I need to have something specific to save up for else I just spend it all :o
    6. The gas (prepay) money lasting much longer and OH not noticing I've greatly reduced the amount of times the hot water heats up ;) - which should mean more savings towards posh hotel.

Olliebeak re your DS1's g/f, I used to work with a woman like that. Honestly, if you told her you'd had bubonic plague, she'd have had it worse!

    For today, then:

    1. Mr LW helped me colour my hair last night, so no more grey roots (for a bit, at least:D).

2.We have a definite date for delivery of our new bed.

    3. HM veggie Shepherd Spy for dins tonight (one of my favourites).

    4. The sun is out, the grass is tidy as Mr LW mowed it over the weekend, and the birds are busy at the feeding station.

    5. Mustard and cress grown on the kitchen windowsill added to my mushroom pate roll at lunchtime.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hello, hope all have got through monday in one piece!

1 - eating our dinner on the beach (veggie chilli wraps - delicious food and scenery)
2 - my Russian visa application being formally logged (fingers crossed!)
3 - enjoying the relaxed pace of working from home
4 - economising enough on the groceries to be able to afford a ickle trashy magazine to read in the bath
5 - just health and happiness really

  • Here are my five for today:
    1) I think I'm now over Swine Flu. I didn't have a dizzy and hot moment at all today.
    2) Took the boys to the beach as it turned into a lovely sunny day. Really enjoyed watching them in the sea for the whole time.
    3) I bought a really big novel from a car boot sale and it's size was putting me off but now I'm really glad it's so big as the characters are amazing and I know I'm not going to want it to end. The Half Brother by Lars Saabye Christensen If anyones interested).
    4) HM lamb stew in slow-cooker in hm large yorkshire puddings.
    5) That 'nicely tired' feeling you get mid-evening when you look forward to a bit if telly and a good book in bed.
