Happy Birthday Caterina, sounds like you have a lot going on
Feeling rather melancholy again tonight, really wish I had some kind of life other than work and DD - as beautiful as she is, I need some adult company of any evening, but can't afford a babysitter and don't feel like I have anything to offer, as my life is so boring most of the time
Anyway, today's good things:
1. Saw my before and 14 weeks later photos at the LL group - holy moly, how flipping scary were the before ones!!!!! I'm very shocked at how bad I looked and pleased that I'm different now
2. Apparently I'm going to receive some kind of referral payment from my diet counsellor for introducing a friend, not sure how much or whether it'll be a gift voucher or cold, hard cash, but it'll be very gratefuly received and, knowing me, spent on DD
3. Work was horrendous today, too many people asking dumb questions, asking me to help and I suppose I was too flattered to say no, as I know that I am seen as a superstar within the whole department, not just my team. Blimey, that sounds big-headed, but a couple of people have given me major compliments. Anyway, by the end of my working day and week, I'd managed to get through the nastier tasks and so won't feel honour-bound to log on over the weekend to make sure things get done.
4. Glad it's Friday tomorrow, and apart from a nurse appointment in the morning, I can relax and have fun with DD for a bit, before we leave to visit relatives late afternoon. We're both really tired, so I'm hoping the sun will come out for us to be able to lie in the hammock again.0 -
Hugs to Courgette and Scrummymummy. Belated Happy Birthday to Caterina. Hope today finds everybody well. Couldn't get on the computer last night so here are my five for yesterday.
1. All bedding changed. Washed and dried in the lovely sunny weather.
2. New carpet fitted. Feels nice and springy.
3. DD1 & 2 feeling much better.
4. Getting some gardening done.
5. So busy doing the garden that I didn't cook tea. Went for fish and chips down by the sea instead. They taste so much better when eaten outdoors.
Another sunny day today. Hoping to get out for a walk when I finish work later.0 -

Afternoon all!:hello:
My five are:
1. Driving to work this morning and seeing the skies filled with dozens of hot air balloons for our wonderful annual Balloon Fiesta. A stunning sight! Shame that's all I'll see of it, due to pleasure no 2:
2. Leaving work early today (that will always be a pleasure), for pleasure no 3:
3. A weekend in the lovely New Forest with 3 friends.
4. Finding some brilliant new software - yes I know that makes me sound like a computer nerd, but I love fancy software and I can't wait to get stuck into setting it up.
5. More computer nerdy stuff - finding a great new social networking site. Think I need to get out more...:D
Have a great weekend everyone!Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Savingforoz the balloons sound amazing! I love totally random things like that.
For today
1 - laughing at a news report on the radio. A lady who has just turned 100 said her recipe for a long life was drinking and smoking - she's been smoking a packet a day since she was 16! So much for health warnings, maybe I should take it up :rotfl:
2 - Getting away from work early
3 - Speaking to my sister on the phone and catching up on lots of gossip
4 - The smell of clean sheets
5 - Oh can't resist - it's Friday!
Have a great weekend

- Had a lovely tea, cooked by even lovelier H2B
