Before I go out to work my five for yesterday are
    1. Lovely walk with my family.
    2. Picnic at the top of a fell with a beautiful view.
    3. Ice cream on the way home.
    4. I have now lost my slow cooker virginity with a fab chilli con carne yesterday. Needless to say I will be using it again!
    5. Very nice emails from the recipients of my freecycle items, even though they had already thanked me in person.

Hello everyone, I've been a bit MIA for a few days, but am back and raring to go :)

    1. Spending the weekend with family - I wasn't looking forward to it and at times it was a bit of a strain, but went well enough and I got through it without wanting to scream at anyone
    2. Enjoying the sunshine over the weekend, took DD for a play on the village rec and a nice stroll around, seeing how much my childhood village has changed since I last took a good look at it
    3. Drinking lots of Pimms at the village pub with my family :)
    4. Getting back on my diet yesterday after a few days off it....it was a relief to get back on, 'real food' isn't all its cracked up to be, think I've identified a few foods that I'm intolerant of now, so have a few ideas of how I'm going to live my life once I've hit the weight I want to be
    5. This morning, taking the bull by the horns and booking DD and I on our first ever group single parent holiday in Cornwall during half term. I'm really excited but also petrified, what if we don't like anyone!! (I'm sure we'll be fine really, just seems a big step....)

Ollie – thanks for the advice and support on the work colleague, I’ll keep trying!
Caterina – Sounds like a great weekend, glad the party went well
Blimus Hope you’re feeling much better
Courgette best of luck on the wedding plans I only just realised that it’s quite soon! Just try not to wear yourself out with all the organising J
Kittikins - good luck on your holiday, sure it'll be great once you get there!

I’ve been without a PC for the weekend so just catching up as usual for a Monday.

    Mine for the weekend.

1 – I had my hair done of Saturday which is always good for a boost J I was there for a couple of hours so had ages to read trashy magazines that I wouldn’t normally buy, guilty pleasures
2 – A barbeque on Saturday night with friends, the company was great and the rain stayed off
3 – we went to the cook school yesterday which was amazing. The food we made was great but we also got lots of tips on cooking in general, what produce to use and getting value of money. Very OS :)
4 – OH ran me a bath last night and filled the bathroom with candles, I’m trying not to get too used to this!
5 - having a very early night last night and getting a good sleep
Mortgage as at March 2010 £225,000 target for December 2012 £170,000. Blog link http://beautifulorpractical.blogspot.com/2010/07/oh-this-is-all-new.html :j

My 5 for the weekend are:

    2. Two great boat trips - one out into the Solent to see the Fastnet yachts and the other on the Beaulieu River.
    3. Spending less than I'd anticipated on my weekend in the New Forest.
    4. Seeing lots of lovely New Forest ponies.
