Five OS Pleasures in your day today

Glad you're feeling better Blimus, and it sounds like you've had a gorgeous day
Aaaah, Rumours, that takes me back to my childhood, my parents were big fans, it's the only record I remember from being little....
Today has been goodish, bored witless at work...
1. Sunshine, but annoyingly I didn't get organised enough to hang out any washing
2. Another book went on Amaz*n
3. Bought a lovely silver necklace for a friend's daughter's birthday present next month, our local A$da is closing its jewellery department and so everything is half price
4. DD and I had a cuddle in the hammock tonight - that reminds me, I must go and put the cover back over in case it rains in the night.
5. Have managed to resist the temptation to stuff myself stupid tonight, it's really hard at times, but I WILL overcome the urges! Either that, or I'll take myself upstairs away from the kitchen....0 -
1) Finished my dining chair covers. It's amazing how much better it makes things look in there, and still not spent a penny on it. Found an old lampshade at the back of the upstairs cupboard too and replaced the cheapie one, thus improving the effect
2) Managed to make myself go to the tip again with some of the garden rubbish. It's raining now so I'm glad I got rid of it while it was dry
3) Rescuing the washing and putting it on an airer in the porch before it got too wet. I was tempted to put it in the drier but I resisted.
4) Dinner was leftovers from last night, so no cooking.
5) DS walked home from gf's house. I do appreciate not having to get the car out0 -
Hi all
Just a quick one to say that last night I had a fallout with DH who I do not feel is so dear today - so I made my rucksack and left for Ireland, am now typing from a hostel in Dublin.
More pleasures than I can count tpday, but also a deep deep sadness that suddenly things turned so very bad - I need some head space before going back home and seeing if it can be sorted. Please send positive thoughts, even in this beautiful country I am feeling quite emotionally battered at the moment.
Might not be able to come online so much so please forgive if I neglect to reply very soon.
Love to all
C xFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

Caterina - sending you hugs and hoping that you and DH can soon resolve your problems, space is often a good thing. xxx0

Caterina - this is too awful and you seemed so in love with him, I do hope you sort it out very soon.
PQ well done with the patchwork and the chair covers, it's so fulfilling to make something for 'free'.
We're still enjoying our hols - just two days left. Some of the OS things have been due to my DD.
1. She made yummy scones and drop scones.
2. She made a super apple and blackberry crumble from blackberries sourced on site.
3. She winged that her DH had picked too many and they would be wasted so he made delicious seedless blackberry jam.
4. When all the aforesaid had been eaten she made rock cakes.
5. Me? Well I just enjoyed what I was given.
