    Mine for today -
    • having the windows open for an hour this morning before the rain started
    • taking a home cooked meal to my godmother
    • kicking up the leaves on the pavement as I walked home :D
    • curling up in the chair this afternoon with a cup of tea and a book
    • blocking a couple of draughts through my living room window with bubble wrap (still waiting for secondary units to be installed! :rolleyes:)
    ... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

    Today and last night:
    1. knitting more of DS cardigan (last night).
    2. Taking DS a walk to the park and having a nice chat with a friend I bumped in to.
    3. Making HM pizza for tea, enough for me & DH to havefor lunch tomorrow.
    4. Taking HM minestrone soup out to defrost for me and DS lunches Wed and Thur.
    5. Brushing the floor of crumbs (crumbs courtesy of DS) instead of hoovering.

    1.Monday is cleaning day, so, house cleaned from top to bottom. OS of course, using only stardrops and microfibre cloths.

    2. Walking dds dog and dragging home branch for our open fire.

    3.H/m curried parsnip soup for lunch. Parsnips from garden.

    4. H/m Beef stew from freezer for tea. All veg from garden

    5. Sitting by open fire watching recently foraged and dried wood burn, knowing it cost us zilch and no central heating on so yaboo to you eon.

    1. Catching up on this thread after a busy weekend.

    2. Having a bit of a 'breather' after having visitors yesterday.

    3. Plating up two meals using leftovers from yesterday's roast dinner
    so that was dinner tonight sorted.

    4. Having enough meat left (just about) to s-t-r-e-t-c-h into a shepherd's
    pie tomorrow.

    5. Starting to knit a 4 ply twinset (you can't get more old syle than that)
    with yarn from my stash bought at half price in a sale.

    1. Home made cookies warm from the oven
    2. H.M pastry for a pie for tea
    3.Not going to the shops (didn't spend a penny today!!)
    4. Opening the fridge and seeing h.m soups & sauces to last a few days
    5.Knowing I don't have to go shopping for a few days & saving money this week:whistle::whistle:

    First time I'd seen this thread - what a good idea :T

    Mine were :

    1. HM carrot and parsnip soup with HM cheese scones for lunch at work
    2. Envious looks and comments re: above
    3. Having one of my HM cheese scones snaffled, scoffed and much praised :)
    4. Dinner was a stir fry with leftovers that a while ago would have been binned. Was delicious.
    5. Sitting back now with a coffee and reading about all your wonderful days

    Just found this thread, what a neat idea.
    Mine 5 things today are:
    1. Spinning wool for crochet blanket.
    2. Crocheting another 4 squares for blanket.
    3. seeing growth on new potatoes planted a couple of weeks ago - they may just be ready for Christmas.
    4. Line drying washing.
    5. Watching the chickens rush to the door of their run when they saw me coming with breakfast.

    Sunday & today :-

    1.Stacking our log delivery under cover all ready for winter(a bit back-breaking,but it was a lovely morning to be out in the fresh air)
    2.DH saying the HM pizza we had for tea was really good
    3.Snuggling on the sofa with DH and the dog watching Frost
    4.Making a birthday card for my brothers birthday
    5.Finding some material in the loft that will make two blinds I need,and cutting it out ready to sew tomorrow
