Let me think if I can come up with 5

    * ate HM leek/chicken/noodle soup made with leftovers
    * meal planned and shopped with list
    * made bread
    * washing out on line, windy here today, trying to avoid tumble dryer
    * cooking "Dutch" macaroni for tea tonight so I can use all the "bottom of the fridge", slighty wrinkly peppers and leeks
  • 1) got y/s chicken & 3 heads of broccoli from Mr T's
    2) priced up loft insulation
    3) washing drying on the line
    4) Dorset apple tray bake made with free apples
    5) HM bread cooling in the kitchen

    Dutch macaroni sound yummy MOT

    1. Line dried washing - seems to smell so much nicer!

    2. Listening to my Andrea Bocelli cd with a lovely warming cup of tea.

    3. Having our young cockapoo cuddled up on my lap while I read. Who needs a hot water bottle?

    4. Making a tea from leftovers (wm pasta penne and bolognaise sauce and assorted leftover veg)

    5. Buying just 1 or 2 items every week toward Christmas (just like my Mum and Nana used to do) today we have got the quality street in. Last week was chestnut puree.

I too am enjoying this thread! Gives me inspiration as well!

everyone else- this thread is inspiring- I love it :D
    Today/last night:
    1. wore fleecy jammies to bed instead of putting leccie blankie on :)
    2. made HM digestives (with choc button on top) and HM cheese biccies (thanks to angelnikki for the recipe)- scrummy!
    3. HM cajun potato wedges in the oven (made from the £1.38 reduced to 14p tatties).
    4. leftover quiche and other bits for dinner.
    5. seeing a huge bag of tatties in coop for £1.49 but resisting cos we have plenty tatters right now.

What a lovely thread. Spent a lovely OS day with OH (we love our weekends)

    1. Early visit to the farmers market to get some meat for the freezer, eggs and vegetables (we like to support local producers when we can)
    2. Home made cauliflower cheese (which included some sliced leek and fried bacon bits) and home made apple crumble and custard for lunch (apples free)
    3. OH made a loaf of 5 seed bread in the panni
    4. Went for a walk together and came home with apples and blackberries which were promptly turned into another crumble
    5. Shoulder of lamb is currently cooking in the remoska and we'll be having it with mashed potatoes and greens

Tonight we will be snug under a fleeze watching TV and sipping home made wine :D
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

Glad everyone's enjoying this thread. My pleasures are bit food-dominated again:o

    1) Making a delicious leek and potato soup for lunch.

    2) Serving croutons with the soup made from the crusts of my hm loaves. Recycled bread;)

    3) Adding a homegrown quince to my lamb stew. Very successful.

    4) Chocolate fudge pudding -a great storecupboard pud (as long as you have some cream to serve with it).

    5) Not spending any money.
  • I'm going to mention yesterday's pleasures as I didn't get around to it yesterday - got home after midnight!

    1) Dividing the mince I bought at market on Friday and realising it'll feed us for an incredible amount of meals, more if I add things to bulk it out.

    2) Making a huuuuuge batch of meatballs that the OH loved and having a batch to freeze.

    3) Making a candle (it is unfortunately stuck in the mould still, but I felt accomplished!)

    4) More cross-stitch! It relaxes me.

    5) Spending the evening with good friends playing board games. Lovely!
Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!
