Ohhh I got so many today that I will probably go well over 5, let's see:
1 - My friend calling me and taking me for a drive and window-shop in Bluewater (and then Lakeside)
2 - Finding while in Bluewater John Lewis that there is a free event run by Rowan (yarns) showing makeovers, knitted garments fashion show and free refreshments
3 - The Bucks Fizz, sandwiches and cakes eaten for free at the show
4 - Winning a fab pair of mittens (hand knitted in a lovely purple colour) at the charity raffle during the event
5 - On to Lakeside, getting a free hot drink for me and my friend just by signing up to a "family card" in Ikea
6 - Eating a small but sufficiently filling (due to previous sandwiches and cake) child portion of haddock, chips and peas (grand total £1.35!) and getting a free fruit in the bargain
7 - Eating a good handful of ginger biscuits at the sampling downstairs in Ikea food shop.
I could go on, and I had to group all the pleasures above otherwise I could have gone on and on and on.
Oh, I was forgetting:
8 - the very nice and tasty HM veg curry, bean dal and brown rice dinner I cooked instead of getting a takeaway!
9 - Pudding: the apple cake my friend brought me this morning when she came to pick me up.
Life is great, thank you!
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
1. Foraging in the freezer and finding, blueberries bought on special,
migdool dates - reduced and a turkey thigh bone.
2. Made scrummy blueberry muffins from a recipe on this board ages ago.

also from a recipe on this board.
4. Putting turkey thigh bone with this weeks turkey thigh bone in the
Remoska to 'roast' with an onion and making a scrummy stock.
5. The beautiful sunshine which raised the temperature in my dining room
to 25deg this afternoon and has left it a comfortable 20deg tonight so:j no heating on again tonight.

It's taken me a couple of days to get up to 5, but I've finally made it.
1) snuggling up an a thick cardie given to me by a friend, she bought one in every colour & then decided sh wasn't keen on the green one.
2)being given 2 more empty small biscuit tins that I can use to put home made goodies in as christmas gifts
3) it's half term next week & I have the whole week off.
4) selling another DVD on Ebay
5) making chinese style ribs & special fried rice for tea & hubby saying it was better than any takeaway.
