Elderly keying my new car
Comments
-
Update:
Police officer attended just now asking for the evidence of my neighbour's car damages. He also confirmed that the elderly lady being on the "Neighbourhood Watch" and her connections within the police mean that there is a slim chance anything will be done.
His words were that "No body wants to be labeled the guy who prosecuted an old fragile lady for racism and criminal damages who is a servant of the neighbourhood watch" and confirmed my fears that she does indeed know people on high instances within the police and the council.
What is more, it has been a week since the council was contacted and informed and they have not even replied yet.
The officer recommended getting in touch with the IPCC and informing them of what is going on so they can keep an eye on the case.
On the up side - she is no longer keying cars0 -
and what about the allegations made about youWhat goes around-comes around0

I think a lot of what you are saying is either exaggerated or the whole situation is a fabrication. I cannot believe a police officer said this to you.0 -
Thanks for the reply Ivrytwr3, It really seems so, doesnt it? However, there really isn't any reason to falsify information, as I hope this thread will help someone in the future.
robbies_gal - Police attended her house 2 days ago apparently looking at her "broken fence" which wasn't broken at all. They have not contacted me since.0 -
I would be submitting a complaint about the police officer if that is the case then.
Police cannot pick and choose who they investigate/charge because of their age. You will be telling me they racial profile next0 -

Yes they can. Example: She was returned by police car because she is old and fragile. She was not detained overnight... because she is old and fragile. She will not be given comunity service because she is old and fragile. List goes on.
It doesnt help that she is part of the Neighbourhood Watch which also brings privileges.
Police do profile people - any investigation/questioning starts with person profile where you estimate whether the person before you is aggressive, or not and so on.
The country I come from is famous for the police corruption and for "connections" which silence cases. I thought the UK is different.
Being told "I see that everyday - ex officials with "friends" do get by easy, furthermore someone of your neighbour's age and status will try to play every trick in the bag and will do so"0 -

You are twisting what i have said - i said they cannot choose who to investigate due to their age, colour of skin etc, a complaint is recieved which must be followed up on. What you have now mentioned is that the police brought her home etc i think this is very good of the police and had they just kicked her out the police station or detained her overnight then perhaps that would have been overkill and we would be reading about this in the Daily Fail about how heavy handed the police are to OAPs - i am sure a risk assessment and good old copper public spirit had a hand in how the lady was dealt with. What you fail to see is that beyond all that she is actually going through the process and your complaint is been dealt with.
I appreciate many other countries Police are corrupt and even in the UK we have bad apples (police officer who refused to get involved with a shoplifter recently). However, the UK has one of the best police forces in the world. Let them do their job and if you feel that you have grounds to make complaint against them then do so.0 -

Especially the flaming torch (by which I assume she's referring to a stick that's on fire). That's a very serious claim of arson / attempted murder. Why is she only reporting that after your complaint and not whilst it was still smouldering in her house?0 -
