All that the switch did with mine was copy one payee (*) to the Nationwide a/c and close my Halifax a/c. I had zero balance, no DDs and no regular payments going in. The email received today advised that I should get my cheque within 5 working days.
(*) That one did surprise me. I hadn't expected it to do that (since it was only ever used for manually instigated payments) but, when I went in to set up payees for my funding standing orders, there was already one set up. Saved me having to do it
Looks like if you had yours, I've been through T&C and all's well... should get mine ..eventually.:cool:0 -

I was mainly interested in the interest in the NW a/c but I had a redundant ex-Reward account (when Halifax changed the requirements I wasn't prepared to muck around setting up DDs) so I thought "What the heck, let's give the switch a go."
Like I said, I was more interested in the interest and knew the donor a/c was redundant, so I didn't pay much attention to what they were going to do. TBH I'd assumed that only active transactions would move.Shouldn't have come as a surprise, being as they say they'll do just that in the bumph...

"Muck around"? The £5 Reward payments on 3 of my Reward accounts are cleared out automatically by 2 DDs to a pair of savings accounts. Requires no ongoing maintenance, and the same 2 savings accounts serve Club Lloyds and Santander 1-2-3 as well as providing a source of DDs for those incentives that do require DDs to be switched.I wasn't prepared to muck around setting up DDs0 -

Oh, I'm doing it now but at that time I a) didn't have enough DDs required and b) couldn't be bothered. I had other priorities for my money at that time, which have now changed.0 -

Not happy! I requested a full switch and assumed that this is what happened. But it appears that my old account was still open and now had to close it myself. Am feeling ripped off...
Just got the following e-mail:
Good Afternoon,
Thank you for your email.
We have received feedback from Nationwide advising us that you do not qualify for the cashback offer.
In order to qualify for the Nationwide cashback offer a full switch needed to have been processed online via the Moneysupermarket within 45 days of completing the online form.
Unfortunately we cannot action anything without Nationwide’s authorisation so we will not be issuing you the cashback incentive.
Kind regards,
The MoneySuperRewards Team0 -
Did you get letters and/or update emails from NW? ISTR receiving an email each time a stage was completed.
If so, it's worth checking those to see exactly what they said they would do - if closing the old account was on the list and they haven't done it then I would say a robust complaint would be in order.0
