NationwideFlexDirect£100 cashback offer

  • I have now received 2 replies from MoneySuperRewards telling me I am not eligible for the £100 cashback.

On both occasions they are saying I didn't do a full switch - despite me being unable to find anything on the T&C's that stipulated this (of course, otherwise I'd have done a full switch).

I did a partial switch - which does everything bar close the account.

Who do I complain to? I reread the T&C's which were on the original email:

"Cashback will only be paid to customers who open a FlexDirect current account and switch a non-Nationwide current account to it using the Nationwide Current Account Switch Service
This offer applies to the Nationwide FlexDirect current account only
You will only receive cashback if your application is accepted"

I used the switching service, but how do I make my case via email? Who do I take it further with? Any help would be appreciated.

    Feeling ripped off.

Well, it seems that even though my old account with halifax was closed they still claim I didn't do a full switch of which I know I did.. so where they got that i don't qualify beats me. I think they just send out same "you do not qualify" emails in hope that customers do not chase any further. It's driving me potty. Has anyone had sucess contacting whoever it maybe to get this sorted?
  • what are the contact details of stephanie please? As i have emailed them msm and like you they say that i don't qualify, of which i think i do.

Hmm, exactly the same as mine does, and they've confirmed that I have qualified even though they can't say when my cheque will arrive.

It should start with !!!!!! with all the faffing about we have to do:)
  • ha haa that's funny
  • I emailed MSM and this is what they said "the company that we are using to issue your cashback is The Marketing Lounge. For the Nationwide offer we knew this offer would be popular but we didn’t realise how popular so the team are working through a two week backlog of cashback claims."

Lets wait for 2 more weeks and see if we hear anything.

  • "Once Nationwide have completed your switch, we'll send your cashback payment within 30 days"

Not sure if that constitutes a contract, a promise or an expectation but they haven't fulfilled their side of the deal whereas we have or if not, get told we don't qualify.

I'm a week overdue and no clue as to when the cheque will arrive.

    6 weeks wasn't enough, 7 weeks isn't enough.

If the offer was more popular than envisaged then maybe more staff could have been employed to meet their own terms.
  • Well if they have a 2 week back log then maybe they should email us and let us know, we've given them our details, surely it can be set/done automatically
