OMG I hope you never eat out in restaurants or cafesI don't like the idea of any establishment reusing bottles of shampoo and shower gel, who knows what a previous guest may have done with it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Summary of thread...
Toiletries from B&B stolen
OP comes clean but B&B refuse to wash their hands of it, general consensus of MSE posters is that he's having a bubble0 -

But then where does it say that customers are allowed to take the empty containers (which would then justify and allow such use eg pouring 7 days worth down a sink). It doesn't does it! Therefore one should not assume that that the entire contents and the containers should be taken.0 -
Decency and honesty? get a grip! i dont take anything else from hotels apart from the complimentary toiletries that considering the price of the room i feel i am entitled to take home and finish them rather than them being thrown away! in this instance as the bottle were larger perhaps it was a mistake. But i still feel that being charged £10 is ridiculous really.
Do you really think taking 2 x 250ml bottles of shower gel/shampoo - that clearly aren't complimentary - was decent behaviour?
Do you think you behaved honestly?0 -

It depends on your upbringing what you refer to them.
I'm surprised you don't just refer to them as "the sh**er!"0 -

They're called comfort rooms in some countries. :rotfl:0 -
