Charged for toiletries

Given they were 250ml bottles, I am sure you knew that they were not to be taken away.
Even if you had used all the contents which was unlikely they would have refilled the bottles
(not sure why one poster says yuk as it is very common to refill bottles)
You had the chance to return and ignored, dont see that the B and B has done anything wrong
I was assuming the individual bottles, not something that could be cleaned and refilled.0 -

The OP might be a Wookie or a werewolf!0 -
If you had used it all you surely would have left the empty bottles, Or would you have tken them as well?0

As they are clearly not individual sachets, I would suggest you send them back getting proof of postage, then ask for your £10 back.
Taking them was taking the p*ss, but a £10 charge is also taking the p*ss. Any decent B&B will have spares, so they should charge you the actual cost of replacement, minus any already used.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
if I ran the B&B I wouldn't of worried, it's not worth the loss of goodwill.0

Oh stupid me, now I get it, you actually took the bottles home, so really you stole the toiletries.
So the soap was free, they just didn't expect you to take the whole lot away with you.
Now I know why they asked you to bring them back, did you take the ketchup after your breakfast too?0 -
I will admit that I frequently relieve hotels of the little bottles of shampoo & shower gel but there's no way that I would have even thought of taking a 250ml bottle.
Honestly OP there's tight and there's tight...and then there's what you did0 -
so the moral of the story is its ok to "relieve" the hotel/bnb of their toiletries if the size of the container they are in is under 250ml, otherwise its a chargeable offence!0
