apple that is awful, your poor daughter! Have they excluded the child or removed her from being in the same class as your daughter? If the school doesn't support your daughter well enough (in my view schools often don't deal with bullying well) you can raise the issue with the council if it's a local authority school and ultimately ofsted (I'm sure you'll already know this).LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

I am so surprised to hear that the bullying has been allowed to go on so long. You must feel so under pressure to remove your daughter from that school.
It isn't the same thing at all but one of the key reasons we sold our last house (other than to raise funds for the business) was because the woman next door, a council tenant so highly protected in terms of what the council could do to remove her, made our lives hell for 3 years. I had to keep a diary detailing all her actions but we had to amass a huge paper trail to get anywhere. We had the police out twice. We're threatened with violence outside our house. No one else affected by her would go on record. In the end I faced her in court. And won a restraining order of sorts. That was enough to be able to legally sell our house. And it means she can't do anything to anyone living there now or will be evicted. My mental health was in the gutter during that period. And I still feel very unsure of neighbours and limit interaction to almost nothing.
So I do know what bullying is like. But I'm an adult at least." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Apple hope the school resolve the bullying issue quickly, hugs to yr DD.
Welshkitty bet we were in the same castle today, we managed free parking, made a treasure map and hid a few coins. Grandson loved it, not sure I like heights, turrets made my legs all jelly like. Sounds like you have the the car payments sorted.
Dolly84 dd can be very upsetting at times, been there. Unfortunately my tyres got put on my cc, have raided all my pots lately.

bob that sounds awful
Why are some people so nasty to others?! We all seem to have examples of people who have tried to cause misery to ourselves or others and I cannot fathom a reason for any of itI'm seriously considering moving to a remote island and setting up my own community of nice people and where we all live frugally and off the land, anyone want to join me?

It wasn't great. And one of those times when you have to decide whether you are going to make a stand or not. But I don't stand for bullies. Even though it was terrifying going into court against her. I know that the person who bought our house has still had issues. But he has told me he doesn't intend to escalate the situation because he doesn't want to have to disclose it when he sells. We could have easily took that view. But I don't believe in passing on your problems to someone else. We didn't have the same recourse anyway as it was a probabte house. Although the mothers alcoholic former 80s star musician son was living there at the time....he didn't know what day it was let alone being legally accountable for a situation like not disclosing a nutty neighbour..
I'd join you on your island and make everyone lovely coffee and cake" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

That's how I feel. Do any of you remember that TV show from years back (it was the first reality type show I think) where a group of people moved to a shetland island I think called Taransay. Ben Fogle found fame from that show. I really wanted to live like that.
It is awful how people treat others. It makes nice people want to be less nice as well. Like when you hold a door for someone and they don't say thanks, you don't want to do it again.
Bob - what an awful situation you were in, don't let it put you off getting to know other people though. We are very lucky here and have fab neighbours. Our house was empty for 3 years before we moved in, the previous owners had died and the house needed some work doing before it could be sold on and it needed to be monitored. Our next door neighbours didn't do any work on their house until after we had moved in and they had got to know us, then they spent thousands. They were so concerned someone horrible would move in and they would have to sell and lose money.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Welshkitty - exciting news about the car, sometimes you just have to speculate to accumulate.
Not much planned for today. Still need to get gate paint and coal. DS is playing football and DD is riding. I may cycle later but need to put the lights back on the bike, it is a bit misty here.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

That's exactly what I want dolly, my ex thought I was crazy but I'd love to live where there were no shops or crowds or proper roads etc.
Today I have come to the realisation that I love living on my own. A friend said that this phase would come after a break up and she was right. I am so grateful for such tiny everyday run of the mill things(predictive text just tried to make me write thongs instead of things!! I am not grateful for thongs!)
I have got Spanish chicken cooking in the slow cooker, the washer is on in readiness for the fog to clear, I am going to sort out my hanging basket and remove any dead plants, and I am going to clear out a bit more of the shed as my black bin still has some room in it that I can use to get the council to remove stuff for free, rather than driving to the tip! Later on I'll make another apple crumble and I've got a bit of school work to do too.
I'm jealous of all this castle visiting. I have a 'castle' near me - it looks like a stately home, not a castle. But it's derelict and only the grounds are open to the public. A company keeps trying to buy the whole place and turn it into a golf resort and spa, and shut off the grounds which would be a shame.
Anyway better get dressed!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
