It's a very teenage thing...... Maybe it's a combination of looking a bit younger (and slim and short) and immaturity in the way the OP acts too ?

Frankly I've never heard anything so daft - a supposedly thirty three year old woman getting her knickers in such a twist - and if her child is a daughter risking passing on some poor attitudes about how people think about their body. A far healthier way to behave would be to shrug it off -and I think it probably goes further than just overthinking TBH.

I am not calling anyone a liar, but I have genuinely not seen anyone who looks any more than 8-10 years younger than they are. Maybe at first glance, and from a distance, but when you look properly; no, no way.

To be fair, I think there are people who look like teenagers for decades, but they're much much rarer than you'd think from this thread!

In my whole life I've known precisely one. I'd put a picture up to prove my point if it were me, but sadly I look about 20 years older than this friend despite being 5 years younger! :o

My wife, who is six months younger than my fifty years, quite often gets taken for my daughter. I'm strangely complimented and insulted by this :D.

Well, funnily enough, everyone cares what people think.

Whether they admit it or not.

    Even you. :D

What a sweeping statement to make.

To claim to know that 'everyone' thinks the same as you do. You cannot possibly speak for 'everyone'

People always used to tell me that I was too thin. I'd never dream of telling anyone that they were too fat, although the people who used to say it were.

I didn't get married until my 30s, people frequently asked if I was a lesbian, or assumed that I was divorced .... Although I had partners.

I've never had kids, & people would assume that I couldn't have any, even suggesting IVF or whatever it's called

When someone knocked on my door & asked if my Mom or Dad was in, I shouted ''Mom, Dad, there's a kid at the door''. I was 15 then though :D

You'll have to wear a badge saying that you're 33, stand up & fight, or save your energy & just give them ''The Look''.

OP you need to stop caring what people who don't know you think!

I was a teenage mother, I had my first child at 17, and I looked more like 12! Even now at 36 I look a lot younger than my age. Of course people felt the need to have an opinion, but as these people didn't know me, or my situation, it was water off a ducks back!

I've had a few nasty remarks, such as " a child bringing up a child" etc once someone was standing behind me at a cash Point, I was 27 with three childreen, probably looked in my teens, and they loudly commented "oh another benefits mother cashing the tax payers hard earned cash". I simply replied "don't judge a book my its cover, I'm 27, self sufficient, married working with a degree!" They soon shut up, I wasn't bothered by the comment, I just realised how shallow people are!

I was two weeks past my 17th birthday when I had my eldest. My mum almost disowned me 'you're either getting married or having an abortion' were her first words when she found out. I bought 'shame' on the family.
That eldest child, born to a young mum- is making a complete success of her life. She's travelled much of the world, has a degree, FT job, cracking partner and is happy.
Two of my kids have had babies young, as I did. Their age is secondary. That they are good parents is the bit that matters.
When my eldest was in primary, a little boy knocked at the door and asked if my sister could come out to play.
The year she turned 18, we were on holiday. Late one night when the rest of the family had gone to bed and we were sat at the bar, we were mistaken for lesbian partners. That was beyond funny.
Fast forward, and every now and again I'm mistaken for 'mum' to the grandkids. I'm told I'm not old enough to have 4 grandkids often.
Why get your knickers knotted? People rude enough to pass comment don't warrant your time. Sod 'em.

I had my daughter when I was 22 years old. I had completed my degree. The thing is I look younger than my age. I am petite and very slim and have a small face which is young looking (big eyes, cheeks)

Oh you could get so much mileage out of this, string them along and watch their blood pleasure go stratospheric.
